Applications of the Field Transformation for Artificial Magnetic Conductors
2019 IEEE International Conference on Computational Electromagnetics (ICCEM), 2019The Field transformation (FT) method provides a impedance control at any incidence angels, which makes it a superior method for wide-angle devices design. In this paper, a wide-angle artificial magnetics conductor (AMC) was designed by FT method and was numerically demonstrated.

Artificial magnetic conductors based on capacitive gratings
Journal of Communications Technology and Electronics, 2007New realizations of artificial magnetic conductors (AMCs) based on two or more closely spaced capacitive gratings whose period is small relative to the wavelength are proposed. Simple formulas are derived for estimation of the resonance frequencies and frequency bands in which the proposed structures behave as AMCs.

Multiband artificial magnetic conductor surfaces
IEE Seminar on Metamaterials for Microwave and (Sub) Millimetre Wave Applications: Photonic Bandgap and Double Negative Designs, Components and Experiments, 2003In this paper, multiband AMC surfaces have been studied using dipole arrays and polarisation independent fractal tripole arrays. Dual and triple band operation has been achieved using dipole AMCs. The angular response of the surfaces was very stable. The surface wave response of the structures has also been studied by means of dispersion diagrams and ...

Textile artificial magnetic conductor for GPS applications
2012 6th European Conference on Antennas and Propagation (EUCAP), 2012This paper presents an Artificial Magnetic Conductor (AMC) used for the GPS standard (L1/L2). This AMC will then be used to design an antenna dedicated to be integrated in the clothes. The AMC cell is a double square patch stacked in textile substrate.

Small sized uniplanar artificial magnetic conductor
The 8th European Conference on Antennas and Propagation (EuCAP 2014), 2014A novel design of planar Artificial Magnetic Conductor (AMC) in the C band frequency range using inter-digital capacitors is presented. The operation of the AMC is evaluated using FEM simulations. A prototype is manufactured and characterized based on reflection coefficient phase in anechoic chamber.

Magnetic loading of artificial magnetic conductors for bandwidth enhancement
IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society International Symposium. Digest. Held in conjunction with: USNC/CNC/URSI North American Radio Sci. Meeting (Cat. No.03CH37450), 2004A magnetically loaded artificial magnetic conductor (Mag-AMC) providing enhanced bandwidth has been developed. The design is a variation of the Sievenpiper (Ph.D. diss., UCLA Elec. Eng. Dept., 1999) "thumbtack" structure, which makes use of a low-loss, aligned, barium-cobalt hexaferrite material in the spacer layer.

Antenna with Artificial Magnetic Conductor for Wireless Application
2019 IEEE Asia-Pacific Conference on Applied Electromagnetics (APACE), 2019This paper discussed the recent works on Artificial Magnetic Conductor (AMC) with the antenna. Two different application for antenna with AMC have been discussed. The first application is the antenna with AMC that has been used for RFID system to detect the metal object. Without incorporating AMC with antenna the system cannot be detected. When the AMC

A size reduction technique for Artificial Magnetic Conductors
2011 Loughborough Antennas & Propagation Conference, 2011This paper presents a new size reduction technique for Artificial Magnetic Conductors (AMC) without useful bandwidth degradation. This technique is based on the use of a slotted layer which is placed into the substrate of an AMC structure. Further, this layer allows the tuning of the operation frequency keeping the overall size of the AMC structure ...

Tuning the Operating Band of an Artificial Magnetic Conductor
Journal of Communications Technology and Electronics, 2019Approximate formulas for calculating the coefficient of reflection from an artificial magnetic conductor (AMC) based on a capacitive lattice (with additional capacitances installed between its elements to tune the AMC operating band) were derived. The results of numerical calculations validating the estimates using approximate formulas are presented ...

Design of triple band Artificial Magnetic Conductor
2012 IEEE Asia-Pacific Conference on Applied Electromagnetics (APACE), 2012This paper presents a design of Artificial Magnetic Conductor (AMC). The AMC operates in three operating frequencies which are 2.3 GHz, 5.8 GHz and 8.36 GHz with the bandwidth of 5.64 %, 1.73% and 3.58 % respectively. The size of AMC unit cells is relatively smaller compare to previous researches that have been done.
