Seychelles artisanal fisheries statistics for 2000
(1). During 2000 an estimated total of 4764 tonnes of fish was landed on Mahe, Praslin and La Digue by 330 fishing boats. 89.6% of the total catch was landed on Mahe alone. The catch volume has decreased by 78 tonnes compared to the 1999 catch and the number of boats operating has increased by 15 over the same period. (2).

Seychelles artisanal fisheries statistics for 2003
(1). During 2003 a total of 3,852 Metric Tonnes (MT) of fish was landed on Mahe, Praslin and La Digue by 405 fishing boats. 80.5% of the total catch was landed on Mahe alone. The total artisanal catch decreased by 1063 (MT) compared to 2002, whilst the number of boats operating increased by 31 over the same period (excluding sport fishing vessels). (2).

ABSTRACT This study aimed to investigate the trophic ecology of loggerhead turtles recorded stranded along the Paraná coast in southern Brazil. Carbon and nitrogen stable isotopes were analysed in muscle tissues from 20 loggerhead turtles and in 69 specimens representing 12 prey species (molluscs, crustaceans and teleost fishes).
