Antibacterial activity of Artocarpus heterophyllus

Fitoterapia, 2003
The crude methanolic extracts of the stem and root barks, stem and root heart-wood, leaves, fruits and seeds of Artocarpus heterophyllus and their subsequent partitioning with petrol, dichloromethane, ethyl acetate and butanol gave fractions that exhibited a broad spectrum of antibacterial activity.

Flavonoids from Artocarpus heterophyllus

Phytochemistry, 1995
Abstract A new flavonone, a new prenylflavone, a novel phenolic compound, heterophylol, reported in a previous paper, and nine known flavonoids have been isolated from the root of Artocarpus heterophyllus . The two new flavonoids have been characterized as 5,2′-dihydroxy-7,4′-dimethyoxyflavanone and 8-(γ,γ-dimethylallyl)-5,2′,4′-trihydroxy-7 ...

Prenylflavonoids of Artocarpus heterophyllus

Phytochemistry, 1995
Abstract Six prenylflavonoids, including two new compounds, have been isolated from the root bark of Artocarpus heterophyllus . The new prenylflavones have been characterized as 8-(γ,γ-dimethylallyl)-5,4′-dihydroxy-7,2′-dimethoxyflavone and 3,3′-di-(γ,γ-dimethylallyl)-5,7,2′,5′-tetrahydroxy-4′-methoxyflavone, respectively.

Flavonoids from the roots of Artocarpus heterophyllus

Fitoterapia, 2017
Four new flavonoids, artoheteroids A-D (1-4), together with six known ones (5-10), were isolated from the roots of Artocarpus heterophyllus. Their structures were elucidated by spectroscopic methods, including 1D and 2D NMR, UV, IR, CD, and HR-ESI-MS. All isolated compounds were screened for their inhibitory abilities against cathepsin K (CatK).
