Plant genome editing: CRISPR, base editing, prime editing, and beyond

open access: yesGrassland Research, Volume 1, Issue 4, Page 234-243, December 2022., 2022
The clustered regularly interspaced short palindromic repeats (CRISPR)/CRISPR‐associated protein 9 (Cas9) system is a fast‐growing, genome editing technology that has wide applications in identifying gene functions as well as improving agricultural production and crop breeding.

Survey of ACCase and ALS resistance in winter annual grasses identifies target‐site and nontarget‐site imazamox resistance in Secale cereale

open access: yesPest Management Science, Volume 78, Issue 12, Page 5080-5089, December 2022., 2022
A resistance survey in winter annual grasses identified three feral rye populations resistant to imazamox. Resistance mechanism investigations showed populations B and C contained an amino acid substitution at Ser653 in the ALS gene, whereas population A showed imazamox‐enhanced metabolism. Abstract Background Early detection of herbicide resistance in

Response of Aryloxyphenoxypropionate-Resistant Grain Sorghum to Quizalofop at Various Rates and Application Timings [PDF]

open access: yesWeed Technology, 2012
Conventional grain sorghum is highly susceptible to POST grass control herbicides. Development of aryloxyphenoxypropionate-resistant grain sorghum could provide additional opportunities for POST herbicide grass control in grain sorghum. Field experiments were conducted at Hays and Manhattan, KS, to determine the effect of quizalofop rate and crop ...

Green foxtail (Setaria viridis) resistance to acetolactate synthase inhibitors [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002

open access: yes, 2020
The control of weedy rice has been widely studied in weed science. However, gene flow from Clearfield rice (CL) to weedy rice has damaged the efficiency of the CL production system. A new rice crop that is resistant to ACCase inhibitor herbicides will be

Growth ofToxoplasma gondiiis inhibited by aryloxyphenoxypropionate herbicides targeting acetyl-CoA carboxylase [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, 1999
Aryloxyphenoxypropionates, inhibitors of the plastid acetyl-CoA carboxylase (ACC) of grasses, also inhibitToxoplasma gondiiACC. Clodinafop, the most effective of the herbicides tested, inhibits growth ofT. gondiiin human fibroblasts by 70% at 10 μM in 2 days and effectively eliminates the parasite in 2–4 days at 10–100 μM.

Identification and documentation of herbicide resistance [PDF]

open access: yes, 1994
Les programmes proactifs de gestion de la résistance aux herbicides sont basés sur la détection rapide des populations résistantes et sur la connaissance des combinaisons de mauvaises herbes et d'herbicides prédisposées au développement de cette ...

Tolerance to Some ACCase Inhibitors in Four Common Roegneria (Roegneria kamoji) Populations From China

open access: yesFrontiers in Agronomy, 2020
Common roegneria, a perennial weed in Roegneria genera of the tribe Triticeae (family: Poaceae), is widely distributed in China and could not be effectively controlled by acetyl coA carboxylase (ACCase) inhibitors in wheat in some regions.
