Abstract Dental microwear texture analysis (DMTA) has become a well‐established method for dietary inference and reconstruction in both extant and extinct mammals and other tetrapods. As the volume of available data continues to grow, researchers could benefit from combining published data from various studies to perform meta‐analyses.

Abstract Bats possess the remarkable ability to fly, and with this, distinctive wing bone properties. We investigated the structural, mechanical, and compositional properties of the humerus, radius, metacarpals, and proximal and middle phalanges of Carollia perspicillata, an approximately 15 g fruit‐eating bat native to the Neotropics.

A class of unsteady, three-dimensional flow structures in turbulent boundary layers [PDF]
A restricted class of mathematically admissible, unsteady, three dimensional flows was identified which may constitute part of the structure observed in turbulent boundary layers. The development of the model and some general results are discussed.

Chemical production on Mars using in situ propellant production technology [PDF]
In situ propellant production (ISPP) was examined in terms of its applicability to a manned Mars mission. Production of oxygen from Martian atmosphere was used as the baseline system for ISPP technology assessment.

We assessed lactation productivity in dairy cows when replacing alfalfa hay with barley silage. A 50% replacement increased feed intake, whereas total replacement improved nutrient conversion to milk. Barley silage can effectively replace alfalfa hay, enhancing sustainability and resilience in dairy production amid forage quality constraints and market

Monte Carlo simulations of electron lateral distributions in the core region of 10(13) - 10(16) eV air showers [PDF]
This paper contains details of computer models of shower development which have been used to investigate the experimental data on shower cores observed in the Leeds 35 sq m and Sacramento Peak (New Mexico) 20 sq m arrays of current limited spark ...
