Assessing differential impacts of a trade agreement using a quantile regression approach
Abstract Using farm‐level panel data, we directly estimate the impacts of the Korea–Chile Free Trade Agreements (FTA) on the revenue of the firms in South Korea that faced greater imports—agricultural producers as the FTA induced greater imports of fruits and vegetables from Chile to South Korea.

Sustainable valorization of co-products from asparagus cultivation by obtaining bioactive compounds
Asparagus cultivation generates every year a significant amount of by-products that consist of root and frond. Leaving these residues on the fields after harvesting negatively affects the following asparagus crops, since they release autotoxic ...

Orthodoxy assumes that the first‐person thoughts of an individual are anchored to a stable object. I challenge this assumption by arguing that “I” is polysemous. The perspectival anchor of a first‐person thought could be the bearer of the thought, the agent, the bearer of perception, or a body, to name just a few options.

Properties of Dehydrated Low-Grade Asparagus (Asparagus officinalis)
The properties of dehydrated low-grade asparagus produced by a batch, forced-convection drying process were investigated with respect to storage stability and equilibrium moisture isotherms. It was found that predrying blanching, storage in the form of pieces, and storage at lower temperatures led to greater color stability during storage as measured ...

Cryptic CAM photosynthesis in Joshua tree (Yucca brevifolia, Y. jaegeriana)
Summary Joshua trees are long‐lived perennial monocots native to the Mojave Desert in North America. Composed of two species, Yucca brevifolia and Y. jaegeriana (Asparagaceae), Joshua trees are imperiled by climate change, with decreases in suitable habitat predicted under future climate change scenarios.

Fructans Are Differentially Distributed in Root Tissues of Asparagus
Inulin- and neoseries-type fructans [fructooligosaccharides (FOS) and fructopolysaccharides] accumulate in storage roots of asparagus (Asparagus officinalis L.), which continue to grow throughout the lifespan of this perennial plant.

ABSTRACT Sex separation in dioecious plants is triggered by the sex‐determining gene, which primarily drives sexual dimorphism in reproductive organs. However, whether the plant sex‐determining gene directly affects plant growth remains controversial.
