A Mathematical model for Astrocytes mediated LTP at Single Hippocampal Synapses [PDF]
Many contemporary studies have shown that astrocytes play a significant role in modulating both short and long form of synaptic plasticity. There are very few experimental models which elucidate the role of astrocyte over Long-term Potentiation (LTP).

Functional state and protein-synthesizing function of the liver of laying hens under conditions of cadmium loading [PDF]
The toxicity of cadmium in the bird's body depends on the penetration method, the total dose, and the duration of poisoning. That is why the work aimed to study the effect of Cadmium on liver function disorders.

Computational Study of pKa shift of Aspartate residue in Thioredoxin: Role of Configurational Sampling and Solvent Model [PDF]
Alchemical free energy calculations are widely used in predicting pKa, and binding free energy calculations in biomolecular systems. These calculations are carried out using either Free Energy Perturbation (FEP) or Thermodynamic Integration (TI). Numerous efforts have been made to improve the accuracy and efficiency of such calculations, especially by ...

Lack of complete biochemical response in autoimmune hepatitis leads to adverse outcome: First report of the IAIHG retrospective registry [PDF]
Background and Aims: The International Autoimmune Hepatitis Group retrospective registry (IAIHG-RR) is a web-based platform with subjects enrolled with a clinical diagnosis of autoimmune hepatitis (AIH). As prognostic factor studies with enough power are

Specificity of aspartate aminotransferases from leguminous plants for 4-substituted glutamic acids.
Aspartate aminotransferase (glutamate-oxalacetate transaminase) was partially purified from extracts of germinating seeds of peanut (Arachis hypogaea), honey locust (Gleditsia triacanthos), soybean (Glycine max), and Sophora japonica.

Synthetic Strategy for mRNA Encapsulation and Gene Delivery with Nanoscale Metal‐Organic Frameworks
This research utilizes the ZIF‐8 for the encapsulation and intracellular delivery of nucleic acids, specifically mRNA, for applications in gene delivery. Integrating PEI addresses the issue of mRNA leakage from ZIF‐8, resulting in the delivery and expression of green fluorescent protein (GFP) in vitro and firefly luciferase in vivo.
