Non‐Invasive Brain Targeted Delivery of Cannabidiol for Alleviating Neuroinflammatory Disease
The glucose‐functionalized nanoparticles (GNPs) are developed for the brain‐targeted delivery of cannabidiol (CBD). GNPs bypass the blood‐brain barrier (BBB) via glucose transporter‐1 (GLUT‐1) and release CBD in response to reactive oxygen species (ROS).

Immunoglobulin-complexed aspartate aminotransferase.
Abstract We report two cases of unexplained, isolated, persistently increased aspartate aminotransferase activity in serum. In the first patient, this lasted for 10 years and prompted multiple hospitalizations and medical/surgical consultations.

Mitochondrial Aspartate Aminotransferase from Beef Kidney [PDF]
Mitochondrial aspartate aminotransferase has been purified in a very simple way by taking advantage of its high isoelectric point (9.8). The beef kidney homogenate was fractionated between 60–90% saturation with ammonium sulfate, dialyzed and percolated through a DEAE-cellulose column at pH 9.5, then through a Sephadex G-100 column.

Controlling the protein corona formation onto carbon nanomaterials (CNMs) enhances their functionalities as platforms for cancer theranostics. Here, we reviewed the effects of the intrinsic and acquired properties of CNMs on protein corona formation, the consequent biological and toxicological outcomes, and the strategies to reshape corona formation ...

Structural Insights into a Novel Class of Aspartate Aminotransferase from Corynebacterium glutamicum. [PDF]
Aspartate aminotransferase from Corynebacterium glutamicum (CgAspAT) is a PLP-dependent enzyme that catalyzes the production of L-aspartate and α-ketoglutarate from L-glutamate and oxaloacetate in L-lysine biosynthesis.

Methotrexate hepatotoxicity in patients with rheumatoid arthritis. [PDF]
BACKGROUND Increases in aminotransferases (transaminitis) are potential major adverse reactions seen with long-term use of methotrexate (MTX). The aim of this study, therefore was to evaluate the incidence of MTX induced hepatotoxicity and its risk ...

Partial purification and characterization of aspartate aminotransferases from seedling oat leaves.
As relatively little information is available on the properties of aspartate aminotransferase from photosynthetic tissue, isolation and characterization of the two major electrophoretically distinct forms of this enzyme from seedling oat leaf homogenates
