Whole genome sequencing (WGS) is widely used for outbreak analysis of bacteriology and virology but is scarcely used in mycology. Here, we used WGS for genotyping Aspergillus fumigatus isolates from a potential Aspergillus outbreak in an intensive care ...

Epidemiological and genomic landscape of azole resistance mechanisms in Aspergillus fungi
Invasive aspergillosis is a life-threatening mycosis caused by the pathogenic fungus Aspergillus. The predominant causal species is Aspergillus fumigatus, and azole drugs are the treatment of choice.

Extracts of Hormophysa triquetra showed antifungal activity with marked hyphal deformities in Fusarium oxysporum and Alternaria alternata. Light microscopy and SEM confirmed structural alterations despite unchanged radial growth. Cucumber assays validated reduced disease incidence, linked to fatty‐acid–rich metabolites detected by GC–MS.

Drug susceptibility of Aspergillus flavus and A.fumigatus to Itraconazole and Amphotericin B
Background and Objective: Aspergillosis is the most current causative agent of exogenous fungal nosocomial infection. This study was done to evaluate the drug susceptibility of Aspergillus flavus and A.fumigatus to itraconazole and amphotericin B ...

Single‐allergen dust mite subcutaneous immunotherapy achieved 68.8% perennial symptom response rate in polysensitised allergic rhinitis patients. High mould and dust mite sIgE levels predicted poor allergen immunotherapy response, which indicated allergen‐specific sIgE levels may help guide personalised allergen immunotherapy decisions.
