Safety evaluation of the food enzyme glucan 1,4-α-glucosidase from the non-genetically modified <i>Aspergillus niger</i> strain AE-GN. [PDF]

open access: yesEFSA J
Abstract The food enzyme glucan 1,4‐α‐glucosidase (4‐α‐d‐glucan α‐glucohydrolase; EC 3.2.1.3) is produced with the non‐genetically modified Aspergillus niger strain AE‐GN by Amano Enzyme Inc. The food enzyme was considered free from viable cells of the production organism. It is intended to be used in 13 food manufacturing processes.

Lithium Diisopropylamide‐Mediated Ring‐Opening of Tetrahydrofuran in the Synthesis of Polyhydroxylated Indolizidines

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Organic Chemistry, EarlyView.
Chiral tri‐ and pentahydroxy spirocyclopentane‐indolizidines were synthesized using lithium diisopropylamide “LDA” promoted diallylation and tetrahydrofuran “THF” ring‐opening in a one‐pot procedure as a key step. The sequence leading to the targeted hydroxy‐spiroindolizidines was achieved by cis‐dihydroxylation followed by reduction of the enamine and

Aspergillus niger második alternatív oxidázának filogenetikai elemzése

open access: yes, 2023

Exploiting proteomic data for genome annotation and gene model validation in Aspergillus niger [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Background Proteomic data is a potentially rich, but arguably unexploited, data source for genome annotation. Peptide identifications from tandem mass spectrometry provide prima facie evidence for gene predictions and can discriminate over a set of ...

Morphological development of Aspergillus niger in submerged citric acid fermentation as a function of the spore inoculum level. Application of neural network and cluster analysis for characterization of mycelial morphology

open access: yes, 2006
Although the citric acid fermentation by Aspergillus niger is one of the most important industrial microbial processes and various aspects of the fermentation appear in a very large number of publications since the 1950s, the effect of the spore inoculum

Approaching the secrets of N-glycosylation in Aspergillus fumigatus [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
The mannosyltransferase Och1 is the key enzyme for synthesis of elaborated protein N-glycans in yeast. In filamentous fungi genes implicated in outer chain formation are present, but their function is unclear.
