A Comparison of the Gastric Mills of Nine Species of Parastacid Crayfish From a Range of Habitats, Using Multivariate Morphometrics (Decapoda, Astacoidea)

Crustaceana, 1990

Abstract Two species of fossil crustaceans from the Czech Republic are assigned to AstacusFabricius, 1775, a European crayfish: A. laevissimusFritsch & Kafka, 1887 and A. cenomanensisFritsch & Kafka, 1887. Both come from marine sediments, making doubtful their assignment to crayfishes.

Localisation of crustacean hyperglycemic hormone in late embryonic and first larval stage ofNephrops norvegicus(Astacoidea, Nephropidae)

Italian Journal of Zoology, 2000
Abstract We report here on immunohistochemical studies of embryos of the Norway lobster Nephrops norvegicus at 90% development, the stage being assessed according to eye index. The sinus gland was readily identified as a teardrop shaped structure about 45 μm in length in 90% embryos and as an oval structure about 50 μm in length in post‐hatched larvae.
