Large‐Scale Evaluation of Traditional Chinese Medicines Reveals Potential PPARγ Modulators for Type 2 Diabetes Management

open access: yesJournal of Clinical Laboratory Analysis, EarlyView.
Identifying novel treatments for diabetic management is always a competitive research topic all over the world. PPAR‐γ is one of the key regulators involved in glucose and lipid metabolism and improves insulin sensitivity and glucose homeostasis. This study investigated the impacts of 639 traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) on PPAR‐γ gene promoter ...

異数体を含むレンゲ人為同質4倍体集団での全兄弟と半兄弟の共分散の計算 [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
Full and half sib covariances were investigated in an artificial autotetraploid population with random mating in Astragalus sinicus L.. Since a set of homologous chromosomes is not necessarily involved in aneuploidy, the covariances must be averaged for ...

An Analysis of Radiographers' False Preliminary Image Evaluation Comments in One New Zealand District

open access: yesJournal of Medical Radiation Sciences, EarlyView.
Preliminary image evaluation (PIE) comment errors were evaluated for common errors. These include missed avulsion fractures in the finger, hand, and wrist, while accessory bones in the feet and ankle were mistaken for abnormalities. Identifying these errors provides guidance for ongoing, regular, targeted training to help improve PIE accuracy rates ...

TDZ-induced plant regeneration in Astragalus cicer L.

open access: yesAfrican Journal of Biotechnology, 2010
We developed a regeneration protocol using thidiazuron (TDZ) with a high frequency in vitro root induction in Astragalus cicer. High in vitro germination ratio (75%) for hard-seeds of A. cicer was also achieved. For this, hypocotyl and cotyledon explants were cultured on Murashige and Skoog medium supplemented with different concentrations of TDZ.

Astragalus ecomorphology in Quaternary elephantids

open access: yesJournal of Quaternary Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The astragalus plays a fundamental role in the graviportal locomotion of proboscideans, reflecting the biomechanical constraints imposed by large body masses. This study analyses the morphological variability of the astragalus in Quaternary elephantids using linear biometry and 3D geometric morphometrics, incorporating an unpublished ...
