A strategy for multimodal integration of transcriptomics, proteomics, and radiomics data for the prediction of recurrence in patients with IDH‐mutant gliomas

open access: yesInternational Journal of Cancer, Volume 157, Issue 3, Page 573-587, 1 August 2025.
What's new? Isocitrate dehydrogenase (IDH)‐mutant gliomas typically affect young adults and invariably progress toward increasingly malignant phenotypes, despite treatment. Recurrence often is unpredictable, however, indicating a need for a deeper understanding of factors that drive disease return.

Suprasellar pilocytic astrocytoma with leptomeningeal dissemination

open access: yesSouth African Journal of Radiology
Leptomeningeal dissemination is a rare manifestation of pilocytic astrocytoma. It may occur with higher-grade tumours like medulloblastoma, ependymoma and high-grade glioma, but is extremely rare with low-grade glioma.

Abnormal DNA Methylation Profile Suggests the Extension of the Clinical Spectrum of the SETD2 ‐Related Disorders to a Syndromic Multiple Tumor Phenotype

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Medical Genetics Part A, Volume 197, Issue 7, July 2025.
ABSTRACT SETD2 has an essential role in epigenetic regulation. SETD2 pathogenic variants cause neurodevelopmental disorders (SETD2‐NDDs) that most commonly include various degrees of intellectual disability and behavioral disorders, macrocephaly, brain malformations, and generalized overgrowth.

Dynamic glucose enhanced imaging using direct water saturation

open access: yesMagnetic Resonance in Medicine, Volume 94, Issue 1, Page 15-27, July 2025.
Abstract Purpose Dynamic glucose enhanced (DGE) MRI studies employ CEST or spin lock (CESL) to study glucose uptake. Currently, these methods are hampered by low effect size and sensitivity to motion. To overcome this, we propose to utilize exchange‐based linewidth (LW) broadening of the direct water saturation (DS) curve of the water saturation ...
