Asymmetric capacitors using lignin-based hierarchical porous carbons [PDF]
Hierarchical porous carbons (HPC) were fabricated from lignin by hard template method using Beta and Y zeolites as templates. Textural properties were dictated by the hard template, obtaining a bi-modal pore size distribution with similar micropore sizes but different mesopore sizes.

Model Predictive Control of an Asymmetric Flying Capacitor Converter
Multilevel converters and, in particular, flying capacitor (FC) converters are an attractive alternative for medium-voltage applications. FC converters do not need complex transformers to obtain the DC-link voltage and also present good robustness properties, when operating under internal fault conditions.

Design of low stress and high efficiency asymmetric half-bridge converter
Asymmetrical half bridge converter has problems that wide power output efficiency is not ideal, the voltage and current stress is large, and rectifier diode has voltage ringing problem. So a low stress and high efficiency asymmetric half-bridge converter

Electrode-dependent asymmetric conduction mechanisms in K0.5Na0.5NbO3 micro-capacitors
The ultimate performance of devices employing lead-free piezoelectrics is determined not only by the intrinsic properties of the piezo, but also by processes and materials employed to create the electric contacts. In this paper, we investigate the impact of different metallic electrodes with increasing chemical reactivity (Pt, Ni, Ti, Cr), on the ...
