Development of Photo‐Biocatalytic Redox System for Asymmetric Synthesis of Optically Active Amines Using Blue Light and Transaminases. A Case Study Toward Mavacamten

open access: yesAdvanced Synthesis &Catalysis, EarlyView.
Abstract α‐Chiral amines are versatile building blocks for the asymmetric synthesis of optically pure high‐added‐value chemicals, including pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, and natural products. Herein, we report a one‐pot, two‐step sequential deracemization of racemic sec‐alcohols to optically enriched primary amines throught a photo‐biocatalytic ...

Synergistic Visible Light Nanophotocatalysis and Asymmetric Organocatalysis for the Stereoselective α‐Alkylation of Aldehydes

open access: yesAdvanced Synthesis &Catalysis, EarlyView.
An unprecedent dual catalytic nanophotocatalytic and asymmetric organocatalytic system for the α‐functionalization of aldehydes is developed using carbon nanodots as photosensitizers. The optimized methodology yields the alkylated products with up to 94% yield and up to 98:2 e.r., evidencing the possible recycling of the nanocatalysts.

Facile Functionalization of Separator with an Amino Acid to Boost Li–S Battery Performance

open access: yesAdvanced Sustainable Systems, EarlyView.
This study introduces a viable bio‐approach to functionalize conventional separators using leucine‐polyacrylic acid (Leu‐PAA) via the simple soaking method. This strategy synergistically improves polysulfide trapping, regulates lithium‐ion flux, and enhances thermal and mechanical stability, leading to excellent cycling stability.

Etherification of Bio‐Based Furanic Compounds via Continuous Flow

open access: yesAdvanced Sustainable Systems, EarlyView.
A comprehensive investigation on the etherification of bio‐based furanic compounds using a continuous flow apparatus. Reaction conditions are optimized for the synthesis of BEMF and then used to obtain a library of BAMFs. Additionally, the self‐etherification of HMF to produce OBMF is explored both in heterogeneous and by employing the homogeneous ...

Effect of Co and Mn Doping on the Electronic and Magnetic Properties of XC₂ (X = Hf, Zr) MXene Monolayers: A First‐Principles Study

open access: yesAdvanced Theory and Simulations, EarlyView.
The electronic and magnetic properties of Co and Mn doped Hf₂C and Zr₂C MXene monolayers are investigated using first principles DFT+U calculations. Doping significantly modifies both the electronic structure and magnetic behavior, with bandgap opening that may be suitable for infrared applications.

The CRL7FBXW8 Complex Controls the Mammary Stem Cell Compartment through Regulation of NUMB Levels

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In breast cancer (BC), NUMB loss of function (LOF) is common and mainly driven by protein hyper‐degradation. The CRL7FBXW8 complex is the E3 ligase responsible for NUMB degradation. Inhibition of CRL7FBXW8 in NUMB‐LOF BC cells restores NUMB levels, and decreases the number of cancer stem cells and tumorigenic ability in vivo. Targeting CRL7FBXW8 offers
