Excitation energy dependence of fragment-mass distributions from fission of 180,190Hg formed in fusion reactions of 36Ar + 144,154Sm

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2015
Mass distributions of fission fragments from the compound nuclei 180Hg and 190Hg formed in fusion reactions 36Ar + 144Sm and 36Ar + 154Sm, respectively, were measured at initial excitation energies of E⁎(Hg180)=33–66 MeV and E⁎(Hg190)=48–71 MeV.

Temperature-Dependent Exciton Dynamics in a Single GaAs Quantum Ring and a Quantum Dot

open access: yesNanomaterials, 2022
Micro-photoluminescence was observed while increasing the excitation power in a single GaAs quantum ring (QR) at 4 K. Fine structures at the energy levels of the ground (N = 1) and excited (N = 2) state excitons exhibited a blue shift when excitation ...

Transient UWB Radiation Characteristics of Asymmetric Di-pole Antenna Arrays: A Study of Feed Distribution Effects [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Telecommunications
This paper explores the transient ultra-wideband (UWB) radiation of an asymmetric nine-element linear dipole antenna array using uniform, binomial, and Dolph Chebyshev feed distributions.

Spatiotemporal and quantitative analyses of phosphoinositides – fluorescent probe—and mass spectrometry‐based approaches

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

Study of fission using multi-nucleon transfer reactions

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2017
It is shown that multi-nucleon transfer reaction is a powerful tool to study fission of exotic neutronrich actinide nuclei, which cannot be accessed by particle-capture or heavy-ion fusion reactions.

Salmonella lipopolysaccharide‐containing supported lipid bilayers as platforms to study bacteriophage interactions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We present robust protocols for the preparation of supported lipid bilayers (SLBs) incorporating either Salmonella smooth LPS or outer membrane vesicles (OMVs). We use a combination of quartz crystal microbalance with dissipation (QCM‐D) and fluorescence microscopy to both characterize the SLBs of various compositions and to probe their interactions ...

Reducing Influence of Hardware of Communication Station on Characteristics of Asymmetric Biconical Dipole Using Magneto-Dielectric Substrate on Finite-Size Metal Screen

open access: yesEast European Journal of Physics
Based on the approximate analytical solution previously obtained by the authors to the problem of excitation (radiation, scattering) of electromagnetic waves by an asymmetric biconical dipole with distributed surface impedance (constant and variable) in ...

Analysis of Dynamical Characteristic of Piecewise-Nonlinear Asymmetric Hysteretic System Based on Incremental Harmonic Balance Method

open access: yesDiscrete Dynamics in Nature and Society, 2015
Considering a sort of elastic mass with asymmetric hysteresis characteristic which widespread existing in engineering field, a piecewise-nonlinear dynamical equation, which contains asymmetric hysteretic loop, is established.
