IPM Synchronous Machine Drive Response to Symmetrical and Asynunetrical Short Circuit Faults [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Power Engineering Review, 2002
A closed-form solution is presented for the steady-state response of interior permanent magnet (IPM) synchronous machines to symmetrical short circuits including the effects of q-axis magnetic saturation. Machine response to single-phase asymmetrical short circuits is also investigated.

Equations of a Synchronous Machine in Phase Coordinates for Asymmetrical Short Circuits and their Solutions

open access: yesInternational Journal of Advanced Engineering Research and Science, 2023
A methodology is proposed for studying, using digital technology, asymmetrical transient modes of a synchronous generator operating on infinite power systems. The initial equations of a synchronous machine and sequential transformations for their solution are presented.

Improving wafer-scale Josephson junction resistance variation in superconducting quantum coherent circuits

open access: yes, 2020
Quantum bits, or qubits, are an example of coherent circuits envisioned for next-generation computers and detectors. A robust superconducting qubit with a coherent lifetime of $O$(100 $\mu$s) is the transmon: a Josephson junction functioning as a non ...
