Improved Mathematical Modeling of Six Phase Induction Machines Based on Fractional Calculus
Multiphase induction machine modelling represents a crucial research topic for both machine control and performance evaluation purposes. Generally, multiphase induction machines are preferably modelled using the vector space decomposition technique with ...

Isolated Chargers for EVs Incorporating Six-Phase Machines [PDF]
This paper considers two isolated solutions for fast charging of electric vehicles (EVs). The isolation is located on the grid side (off board), whereas the rest of the charging apparatus is placed on board the EV, and it entirely consists of the ...

Rotor magnet demagnetisation diagnosis in asymmetrical six‐phase surface‐mounted AC PMSM drives
Multiphase permanent-magnet synchronous machines (PMSMs) are receiving more and more interest in safety-critical modern industries owing to their higher reliability when compared with conventional three-phase PMSMs. Rotor magnets are critical components,

Hong-Ou-Mandel-like two-droplet correlations [PDF]
We present a numerical study of two-droplet pair correlations for in-phase droplets walking on a vibrating bath. Two such walkers are launched towards a common origin.

In situ molecular organization and heterogeneity of the Legionella Dot/Icm T4SS
We present a nearly complete in situ model of the Legionella Dot/Icm type IV secretion system, revealing its central secretion channel and identifying new components. Using cryo‐electron tomography with AI‐based modeling, our work highlights the structure, variability, and mechanism of this complex nanomachine, advancing understanding of bacterial ...

Cell wall target fragment discovery using a low‐cost, minimal fragment library
LoCoFrag100 is a fragment library made up of 100 different compounds. Similarity between the fragments is minimized and 10 different fragments are mixed into a single cocktail, which is soaked to protein crystals. These crystals are analysed by X‐ray crystallography, revealing the binding modes of the bound fragment ligands.

Structural and biochemical characterisations show that the planar cell polarity (PCP) protein Inturned harbours a unique PDZ‐like domain that does not bind canonical PDZ‐binding motifs (PBMs) like that of another PCP protein Vangl2. In contrast, the apical‐basal polarity protein Scribble contains four PDZ domains that bind Vangl2, but one PDZ domain ...
