Asymptotic Behaviour of Symmetric Polynomial Statistics

open access: yesThe Annals of Probability, 1982
A general theorem of Hoeffding (Hoeffding (1948)) implies that the limit distribution of symmetric statistics under natural conditions is normal, but rather frequently the variance of this normal distribution vanishes. Even in the very simple case when the statistics are elementary symmetric polynomials of independent random variables $\{X_i: P(X_i ...

Characterization for Rectifiable and Nonrectifiable Attractivity of Nonautonomous Systems of Linear Differential Equations

open access: yesInternational Journal of Differential Equations, 2013
We study a new kind of asymptotic behaviour near for the nonautonomous system of two linear differential equations: , , where the matrix-valued function has a kind of singularity at .

Computational Study on the Dynamics of a Consumer-Resource Model: The Influence of the Growth Law in the Resource

open access: yesMathematics, 2021
The dynamics of a specific consumer-resource model for Daphnia magna is studied from a numerical point of view. In this study, Malthusian, chemostatic, and Gompertz growth laws for the evolution of the resource population are considered, and the ...

Short period attractors and non-ergodic behavior in the deterministic fixed energy sandpile model [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
We study the asymptotic behaviour of the Bak, Tang, Wiesenfeld sandpile automata as a closed system with fixed energy. We explore the full range of energies characterizing the active phase.

Asymptotic behaviour of inhomogeneous string cosmologies [PDF]

open access: yesClassical and Quantum Gravity, 1999
The asymptotic behaviour at late times of inhomogeneous axion-dilaton cosmologies is investigated. The space-times considered here admit two abelian space-like Killing vectors. These space-times evolve towards an anisotropic universe containing gravitational radiation. Furthermore, a peeling-off behaviour of the Weyl tensor and the antisymmetric tensor

Time after time – circadian clocks through the lens of oscillator theory

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Oscillator theory bridges physics and circadian biology. Damped oscillators require external drivers, while limit cycles emerge from delayed feedback and nonlinearities. Coupling enables tissue‐level coherence, and entrainment aligns internal clocks with environmental cues.

Asymptotic symmetry and conservation laws in 2d Poincar\'e gauge theory of gravity

open access: yes, 1996
The structure of the asymptotic symmetry in the Poincar\'e gauge theory of gravity in 2d is clarified by using the Hamiltonian formalism. The improved form of the generator of the asymptotic symmetry is found for very general asymptotic behaviour of ...

Travelling wavefronts in nonlocal diffusion equations with nonlocal delay effects [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
This paper deals with the existence, monotonicity, uniqueness and asymptotic behaviour of travelling wavefronts for a class of temporally delayed, spatially nonlocal diffusion ...

M-INJECTIVITY AND ASYMPTOTIC BEHAVIOUR

open access: yesBulletin of the Korean Mathematical Society, 2002
From the introduction: Throughout this paper \(R\) will denote a commutative noetherian ring (with a non-zero identity). We shall follow \textit{I. G. Macdonald's} terminology [see Symp. Math. 11, Algebra Commut., Geometria, Conf. 1971/72, 23--43 (1973; Zbl 0271.13001)] concerning secondary representation.

RaMBat: Accurate identification of medulloblastoma subtypes from diverse data sources with severe batch effects

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
To integrate multiple transcriptomics data with severe batch effects for identifying MB subtypes, we developed a novel and accurate computational method named RaMBat, which leveraged subtype‐specific gene expression ranking information instead of absolute gene expression levels to address batch effects of diverse data sources.
