Micromechanical analysis of quantum dot-embedded smart nanocomposite materials
A general micromechanical model based on asymptotic homogenization technique is developed for the analysis of anisotropic quantum dot-embedded smart nanocomposites with piezoelectrically active constituents.

Two Two‐Tier Stochastic Frontier Replications
ABSTRACT We replicate the two foundational studies which proposed the two‐tier stochastic frontier model, first in the cross‐sectional setting and then for the fixed effects panel data model. We explore matters of software then and now, different mathematical formulations of the likelihood, and alternative current software tools.

COMPUTATION OF EFFECTIVE PROPERTIES IN TWO-PHASE PIEZOCOMPOSITES WITH A RECTANGULAR PERIODIC ARRAY
Based on the Asymptotic Homogenization Method, the electromechanical global behavior of a two-phase piezoelectric unidirectional periodic fibrous composite is investigated.

A new alternative multi-scale calculation procedure was presented to characterize the time-dependent viscoelastic behaviors of resin-based three dimensional (3D) braided composites. The present investigation was processed based on micro-scale fiber/resin,

Resonant States Reveal Strong Light–Matter Coupling in Nanophotonic Cavities
Photonic resonant states reveal characteristics of coupled light–matter systems that would otherwise be hidden by damping. Their trajectories (when tuning the optical resonance) undergo a qualitative change at the onset of strong coupling: They start swapping positions.

Two-Scale Convergence of Stekloff Eigenvalue Problems in Perforated Domains
By means of the two-scale convergence method, we investigate the asymptotic behavior of eigenvalues and eigenfunctions of Stekloff eigenvalue problems in perforated domains.

Effective elastic properties of the grid structure based on asymptotic homogenization method
This study develops a computational framework integrating the asymptotic homogenization method (AHM) for periodic microstructures and classical plate theory to predict the equivalent stiffness parameters of honeycomb grid sandwich plates. By constructing

This image is an experimental recording of the buildup of harmonic mode‐locking in a fiber laser. The horizontal dimension corresponds to one cavity round trip, where the laser field intensity is displayed in a color scale. The vertical dimension is the evolution time in logarithmic scale, spanning from microseconds to seconds.
