Asymptotic properties of convolution operators and limits of triangular arrays on locally compact groups [PDF]
It is well known that a limiting measure \(\mu\) of a commutative infinitesimal triangular system \(\Delta\) of probability measures on \(\mathbb R^n\) is embeddable into a continuous one-parameter convolution semigroup. The authors consider a similar problem on a general locally compact group \(G\).

Global Dynamics of a Social Hierarchy-Stratified Malaria Model: Insight from Fractional Calculus
In this study, a mathematical model for the transmission dynamics of malaria among different socioeconomic groups in the human population interacting with a susceptible-infectious vector population is presented and analysed using a fractional-order ...

Studying the evolution of AGB stars in the Gaia epoch [PDF]
We present asymptotic giant branch (AGB) models of solar metallicity, to allow the interpretation of observations of Galactic AGB stars, whose distances should be soon available after the first release of the Gaia catalogue.

On the asymptotic properties of the group lasso estimator for linear models
We establish estimation and model selection consistency, prediction and estimation bounds and persistence for the group-lasso estimator and model selector proposed by Yuan and Lin (2006) for least squares problems when the covariates have a natural grouping structure.

Survival associated pathway identification with group
It has been demonstrated that genes in a cell do not act independently. They interact with one another to complete certain biological processes or to implement certain molecular functions.

Projections and relative hyperbolicity
We give an alternative definition of relative hyperbolicity based on properties of closest-point projections on peripheral subgroups. We also derive a distance formula for relatively hyperbolic groups, similar to the one for mapping class groups.Comment:

Regular finite decomposition complexity [PDF]
We introduce the notion of regular finite decomposition complexity of a metric family. This generalizes Gromov's finite asymptotic dimension and is motivated by the concept of finite decomposition complexity (FDC) due to Guentner, Tessera and Yu. Regular

Asymptotic properties of the quantum representations of the mapping class group [PDF]
We establish various results on the large level limit of projective quantum representations of surface mapping class groups obtained by quantizing moduli spaces of flat SU(n)-bundle. Working with the metaplectic correction, we proved that these projective representations lift to asymptotic representations.

Individual Homogeneity Learning in Density Data Response Additive Models
In many complex applications, both data heterogeneity and homogeneity are present simultaneously. Overlooking either aspect can lead to misleading statistical inferences.

Tree-graded asymptotic cones [PDF]
We study the bilipschitz equivalence type of tree-graded spaces, showing that asymptotic cones of relatively hyperbolic groups (resp. asymptotic cones of groups containing a cut-point) only depend on the bilipschitz equivalence types of the pieces in the
