Asynchronous communication in process algebra
[1992] Proceedings of the Seventh Annual IEEE Symposium on Logic in Computer Science, 2003The authors study the paradigm of asynchronous process communication, as contrasted with the synchronous communication mechanism that is present in process algebra frameworks such as CCS, CSP, and ACP. They investigate semantics and axiomatizations with respect to various observability criteria: bisimulation, traces and abstract traces.

On parallel asynchronous communication codes
Proceedings of the 1999 IEEE Information Theory and Communications Workshop (Cat. No. 99EX253), 2003In asynchronous buses, the sender encodes a data word with a code word from an unordered code and transmits it on the parallel bus lines. In this paper, some transmission time analyses for the above parallel asynchronous communication scheme are presented. It is proved that the average transmission time for a code word is a strictly increasing function

Publisher Summary A console library that will be handy in future projects for interface and debugging purposes is developed in this chapter. The UART interface is perhaps the oldest interface used in the embedded-control world. Four main classes of asynchronous serial application are still being used, which includes RS232 point-to-point connection ...

Asynchronous communication in Ada
Proceedings of the third international workshop on Real-time Ada issues - IRTAW '89, 1989The current definition of Ada manifestly fails to satisfy the requirements for supporting the application domain characteristics of real-time, embedded and distributed systems particularly with respect to the capability for asynchronous message passing.

Asynchronous Cooperative MIMO Communication [PDF]
We consider a cluster-based cooperative transmission scheme where the source node and destination node form clusters for transmission. Instead of using perfect synchronization technique, we assume the cooperative transmission is asynchronous. Each member in transmitting cluster relays signal to the receiving cluster after obtaining information from ...

A simulator for asynchronous hypercube communications
Proceedings of the 20th conference on Winter simulation - WSC '88, 1988This paper describes a simulator for the development and study of software for hypercube multiprocessors with asynchronous communications. The main area of application for the simulator is the development of non-numerical algorithms for hypercubes. The paper discusses the properties of hypercube communications networks, the programmer interface to the ...

On asynchronous communication semantics
1992This paper presents some results concerning equational theories for an elementary calculus based on a fragment of Milner's π-calculus. The system is interesting because it realises asynchronous message passing not by extending but reducing the original fragment, while preserving the computational power.
