Asynchronous Communication in MSVL

2011
Projection Temporal Logic (PTL) is a sound formalism for specifying and verifying properties of concurrent systems. The modeling, simulation and verification language MSVL for concurrent systems is an executable subset of PTL. However, asynchronous communication, a key component of modeling distributed system, has not been implemented in MSVL.

Asynchronous health care communication

Communications of the ACM, 2003
Patients' desire for online communication with their health care providers is likely to change the course of both telemedicine and e-health technologies.

Asynchronous multiuser underwater acoustic communications (L)

The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 2012
An asynchronous multiuser system is proposed to support multiple-access underwater communications without the use of code-division multiple-access or a feedback channel. The rich multipath channels experienced by spatially separated users will be sufficient to ensure separation of collided packets at the base station. The iterative receiver will employ

Asynchronous communication in Ada

Proceedings of the third international workshop on Real-time Ada issues - IRTAW '89, 1989
The current definition of Ada manifestly fails to satisfy the requirements for supporting the application domain characteristics of real-time, embedded and distributed systems particularly with respect to the capability for asynchronous message passing.

An asynchronous communication scheme for molecular communication

2012 IEEE International Conference on Communications (ICC), 2012
Molecular communications emerge as a promising paradigm for the nano-scale communication in nanotechnology. Though still at an early stage, some research efforts have been made and various molecular communication systems have been proposed. However, existing works mainly focus on the synchronous communication schemes where the synchronous assumption is

Asynchronous Byzantine group communication

21st IEEE Symposium on Reliable Distributed Systems, 2002. Proceedings., 2003
This paper summarizes our work on group communication in a fully asynchronous Byzantine environment. Instead of failure detectors or timing information, our protocols use randomization to circumvent the impossibility result by Fischer, Lynch and Paterson.

Asynchronous Communications for NoCs

2010
Technology scaling beyond 90 nm drastically complicates the chip design process. Greater demand for higher performance and more functionality placed on a single chip, while maintaining power consumption at a reasonable level drives research towards new architectural and communication paradigms that support topological scaling.

Asynchronous communication on Occam

ACM SIGPLAN Notices, 1988
In this paper primitives for asynchronous process communication are defined and added to the programming language Occam. Most of the existing concurrent programming concepts have synchronization mechanisms built-in the communication primitives degrading process independency and restricting the parallelism they are trying to provide.

Waveform Iteration with asynchronous communication

PAMM, 2019
AbstractConsider the coupling of two multi‐physics systems of time‐dependent ODEs. We propose a new Waveform iteration type method for coupling which uses asynchronous communication to be both parallel in time and fast in convergence. Analytical results show convergence in the continuous setting and numerical results for two coupled head equations show
