Analysis on SSR frequency components by studying two-dimensional modulation of synchronous generator's flux linkage

open access: yesThe Journal of Engineering, 2019
As China's AC transmission system with series capacitor and HVDC transmission technology are widely used in long-distance and large-scale power transmission network, sub-synchronous resonance (SSR) problem becomes more prominent.

Formation of General Position by Asynchronous Mobile Robots

open access: yesCoRR, 2014
The traditional distributed model of autonomous, homogeneous, mobile point robots usually assumes that the robots do not create any visual obstruction for the other robots, i.e., the robots are see through. In this paper, we consider a slightly more realistic model, by incorporating the notion of obstructed visibility (i.e., robots are not see through)

Review of low voltage ride-through technology of doubly-fed induction generator

open access: yesThe Journal of Engineering, 2019
In recent years, with the increasing of wind power development, the demand for low voltage ride-through (LVRT) technology was proposed to ensure the safe and reliable operation of the power system.

WS2 Optoelectronic Memristive Reservoir Enabling Ultra‐Low‐Power, Multi‐Task, and Environmentally Stable Neuromorphic Computing

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
WS2‐based in‐memory sensing reservoir computing integrates sensing, memory, and computation in one compact device. It achieves ∼94% N‐MNIST, ∼93% eye motion perception, and ∼89% speech recognition with ultra‐low energy (∼25.5 fJ/spike). The system shows stability at 95% humidity, endurance over 1.5M cycles, and supports synaptic plasticity, enabling ...

Influence of PLL on synthetic inertia of DFIG wind turbine in droop controlled microgrids

open access: yesThe Journal of Engineering, 2019
Islanded microgrids allow for a continuous supply of customers even when there is an outage in the bulk power system. The frequency control and stability in microgrids is an ongoing field of research.

Phase‐Resolved Defect Transport Mechanisms Governing Asynchronous Ordering in a Eutectic High‐Entropy Alloy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Phase‐resolved experiments and atomistic simulations reveal asynchronous ordering behaviors in a eutectic high‐entropy alloy during isothermal annealing. Distinct defect transport mechanisms are identified in coexisting B2 and BCC phases, showing that vacancy and interstitial mediated diffusion governs phase‐dependent thermal stability.

Learning Dynamics with Synchronous, Asynchronous and General Semantics [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Learning from interpretation transition (LFIT) automatically constructs a model of the dynamics of a system from the observation of its state transitions. So far, the systems that LFIT handles are restricted to synchronous deterministic dynamics, i.e., all variables update their values at the same time and, for each state of the system, there is only ...

SVD filtering and TLS-ESPRIT algorithm based on stator fault characteristic detection of doubly-fed induction generator

open access: yesThe Journal of Engineering, 2019
This study proposes a novel method for detecting faults in the stator of the doubly-fed wind turbines based on the combination of singular value decomposition (SVD) filtering and least-squares parameter invariant signal technique (TLS-ESPRIT). The stator

Tunable Dynamics via Dual‐Ion Modulation for Event‐based Data Processing Using a Highly Uniform and Self‐Rectifying Memristor Array

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Tunable dynamics of an interface‐type memristor array enabled by dual‐ion modulation through Ag nanoclusters are demonstrated. A 32 × 32 one‐resistor (1R) array exhibits 100% yield with high temporal/spatial uniformity (<3%) and a rectification ratio of 105.
