A Two-Way Split-Step Wavelet Scheme for Tropospheric Long-Range Propagation in Various Environments
In the context of improving the dimensioning of observation and telecommunication, the characterization of the propagation canal is very important. Thus, accurate models of propagation phenomenona in their environment and above a rough surface (maritime ...

The impact of inlet flow conditions on the aerodynamic performance of a NACA submerged intake for ground vehicle applications [PDF]
Results are presented following a series of experimental measurements on a submerged NACA type intake orientated between ±30 degrees yaw to the free stream in an atmospheric boundary layer wind tunnel at a unit Reynolds number of nominally 1 x 106.

Ducting Approach to Atmospheric Sound Propagation [PDF]
The velocity profile V=V0/1+Az+Bz2)12 is investigated for nonfocus situations. When A is negative, sound rays are refracted back to the ground and are reflected. When A is positive, sound rays are refracted away from the ground and a shadow zone is formed.

In this paper, we present a new estimation of the atmospheric refractivity profile combining the scattering signal (electromagnetic wave propagation loss) and the direct signal (phase delay). The refractivity profile is modeled using four parameters, i.e.

Multiscale Decomposition Prediction of Propagation Loss in Oceanic Tropospheric Ducts
The oceanic tropospheric duct is a structure with an abnormal atmospheric refractive index. This structure severely affects the remote sensing detection capability of electromagnetic systems designed for an environment with normal atmospheric refraction.

Aquaporin‐3 and aquaporin‐5 impact the development of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma spheroids
Schematic representation of the role of aquaporin‐3 (AQP3) and aquaporin‐5 (AQP5) in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC). Both proteins are upregulated in PDAC and are associated with tumor progression and metastatic potential. Silencing AQP3 or AQP5 in PDAC spheroids results in decreased diameter, area, and overall growth, underscoring their key ...
