NIGHT SKY BRIGHTNESS ABOVE ZAGREB 2012.-2017.

open access: yesRudarsko-geološko-naftni Zbornik, 2018
The night sky brightness at the RGN site (near the centre of Zagreb, Croatia) was monitored form January 2012. to December 2017. The gathered data show that the average night sky brightness in this period did not change significantly, apart from ...

Effects of Solvent Vapor Atmosphere on Photovoltaic Performance of Perovskite Solar Cells

open access: yesCrystals, 2023
Tremendous efforts have been devoted to facilitating the commercialization of perovskite solar cells (PSCs) in the past decade. However, the influence of solvent vapor atmosphere on PSC device performance during its fabrication still lacks related ...

Determining solar effects in Neptune’s atmosphere [PDF]

open access: yesNature Communications, 2016
AbstractLong-duration observations of Neptune’s brightness at two visible wavelengths provide a disk-averaged estimate of its atmospheric aerosol. Brightness variations were previously associated with the 11-year solar cycle, through solar-modulated mechanisms linked with either ultraviolet or galactic cosmic ray (GCR) effects on atmospheric particles.

Effect of Atmospheric Conditions on LIBS Spectra [PDF]

open access: yesSensors, 2010
Laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy (LIBS) is typically performed at ambient Earth atmospheric conditions. However, interest in LIBS in other atmospheric conditions has increased in recent years, especially for use in space exploration (e.g., Mars and Lunar) or to improve resolution for isotopic signatures.

The stratospheric Brewer–Dobson circulation under different phases of the Stratospheric Polar Vortex Oscillation combined with different phases of the Quasi-Biennial Oscillation

open access: yesEarth and Planetary Physics
Using long-term Whole Atmosphere Community Climate Model version 5 (WACCM5) simulations initialized with the climatology around the year 2000, we studied the anomalous distribution of planetary wave and gravity wave fluxes during distinct phases of the ...

ABL kinase‐dependent phosphorylation of SH proteins promotes their direct interaction with CRK family SH2 domains

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
CT10 regulator of kinase (CRK) and CRK‐Like (CRKL) are signaling adaptors driving cell adhesion, motility, differentiation, and proliferation. SH2‐domain containing (SH) proteins are enriched in YXXP motifs which when phosphorylated create preferred binding sites for CRK family SH2 domains.

Reconstructing enzyme evolution by protein engineering

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Natural enzyme evolution can be retraced by protein engineering methods such as directed evolution, rational design, and ancestral sequence reconstruction. These approaches reveal how enzymes emerged from ligand‐binding scaffolds, developed varying substrate preferences, formed oligomeric complexes, adapted to environmental changes, and evolved novel ...
