Powder Optimization Strategies for Binder Jetting Printing of BaTiO3 and Ba0,6Sr0,4TiO3 Ceramics
Powder optimization is investigated to enable binder jetting of BaTiO3 and Ba0.6Sr0.4TiO3 ferroelectric ceramics. The antagonistic relationship between flowability and binder compatibility is addressed through binder impregnation of granulated powders and fumed silica addition to fine powders.

Because dust-emission processes driven by local, small-scale winds (e.g., terrain-induced winds) are difficult to accurately capture with mesoscale or larger-scale predictive models, this study employed a CFD-Lagrangian particle-tracking approach to ...

STATIC STABILITY MEASURES IN THE ATMOSPHERE
Abstract Various measures of static stability in the atmosphere are reviewed and their uses briefly discussed. The mean vertical distribution of nine stability measures is given for 100-mb tropospheric layers and for selected stratospheric layers. The average geographical distribution over the United States is also discussed and illustrated for the ...

Influence of an Oxygen‐Free Atmosphere on Diamond‐Single‐Grain Scratching of Ti–6Al–4V
Single‐grain scratching of Ti–6Al–4V is investigated under controlled, oxygen‐free, and ambient atmospheres using a novel experimental setup with in situ high‐speed imaging. The approach enables direct observation of chip formation and adhesion under suppressed oxidation.

Theoretical analyses of baroclinic flows [PDF]
Completed and ongoing research activities are discussed briefly, including a three-dimensional, linear stability analysis of the baroclinic Hadley cell and a numerical model of the baroclinic flow between two rotating concentric spheres.

This study investigates laser‐based oxide removal of Cu inserts in oxygen‐free conditions and examines long‐term oxidation kinetics and surface chemistry under different atmospheres via X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy. Al–Cu compound casting with differently oxidized surfaces is performed, and intermetallic phase formation, morphology, and thermal ...

Brazil Offshore Wind Resources and Atmospheric Surface Layer Stability
Brazil’s offshore wind resources are evaluated from satellite winds and ocean heat flux datasets. Winds are extrapolated to the height of modern turbines accounting for atmospheric stability.

Assessing Altered Coating Adhesion on Plasma‐Deoxidized Surfaces Under Oxygen‐Free Conditions
This study demonstrates the effectiveness of atmospheric pressure plasma pretreatment in modifying silicon and stainless steel surfaces to improve adhesion. Argon‐hydrogen plasma increases surface roughness and improves adhesion strength, whereas pure argon results in smoother surfaces and structural changes.

The Nature of the Driving Mechanism in the Pulsating Hybrid PG 1159 Star Abell 43
We extend our previous pulsational stability analyses of PG 1159 stars by modeling the hybrid PG 1159 type star Abell 43. We show that the standard kappa-mechanism due to the ionization of C and O in the envelope of this H-rich PG 1159 star is perfectly ...
