Quarterly Journal of the Royal Meteorological Society, 1973AbstractThe spectral continuum within the 8–13 μm atmospheric window was studied using a tethered balloon borne radiometer, while simultaneous measurements of temperature and humidity profiles were made. Aerosol absorption was estimated as negligible as the measurements were made in conditions of high visual range.
