Atoll

Proceedings of the ACM Symposium on Cloud Computing, 2021
With user-facing apps adopting serverless computing, good latency performance of serverless platforms has become a strong fundamental requirement. However, it is difficult to achieve this on platforms today due to the design of their underlying control and data planes that are particularly ill-suited to short-lived functions with unpredictable arrival ...

ATOLL

Proceedings of the 6th workshop on Aspects, components, and patterns for infrastructure software, 2007
Product line development places emphasis on quality attributes like understandability, maintainability, reusability and variability. Better modularization techniques like aspect-oriented programming are supposed to improve these attributes. In the context of an industrial case study in the domain of infrastructure software for toll systems from Siemens ...

Atoll decompositions of graphs

Journal of Graph Theory, 1982
AbstractAn island decomposition of a graph G consists of a set of vertex‐disjoint paths which cover the vertex set of G. If the endpoints of the paths are mutually nonadjacent, then we have an atoll decomposition. We characterize graphs requiring two paths in an island decomposition yet having no atoll decomposition.
