Dilepton photoproduction on a deuteron target

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2019
We investigate the sensitivity of the cross section for lepton pair production off a deuteron target, γd→l+l−d, to the deuteron charge radius. We show that for small momentum transfers the Bethe-Heitler process dominates, and that it is sensitive to the ...

Time after time – circadian clocks through the lens of oscillator theory

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Oscillator theory bridges physics and circadian biology. Damped oscillators require external drivers, while limit cycles emerge from delayed feedback and nonlinearities. Coupling enables tissue‐level coherence, and entrainment aligns internal clocks with environmental cues.

In situ molecular organization and heterogeneity of the Legionella Dot/Icm T4SS

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We present a nearly complete in situ model of the Legionella Dot/Icm type IV secretion system, revealing its central secretion channel and identifying new components. Using cryo‐electron tomography with AI‐based modeling, our work highlights the structure, variability, and mechanism of this complex nanomachine, advancing understanding of bacterial ...

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

molscat: A program for non-reactive quantum scattering calculations on atomic and molecular collisions [PDF]

open access: yesComputer Physics Communications, 2018
molscat is a general-purpose program for quantum-mechanical calculations on nonreactive atom– atom, atom–molecule and molecule–molecule collisions. It constructs the coupled-channel equations of atomic and molecular scattering theory, and solves them ...

Cross-section of the photoeffect averaged over the atomic electrons

open access: yesЯдерна фізика та енергетика, 2016
Simple approximate method for calculation of the cross sections of the photoeffect averaged over all atomic electrons is suggested. This method is based on the statistical Thomas - Fermi model with a new additional assumption.

Atomic (p,n)-threshold cross sections

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 1981
Abstract The (p,n)-threshold cross section is calculated for a light atom wherein the role of an active K-shell electron is included a priori. We find that the usual nuclear threshold law is covered asymptotically well above threshold on the atomic scale.

Calculation of the Mott Scattering cross section for Iron and Silver in the energy range (50keV-10MeV)

open access: yesTikrit Journal of Pure Science, 2018
In the present research work, we tableted  the ratio of Mott to Rutherford cross section ( ), for Iron and Silver atoms by employing Mckinley - Fashbach equation , in the range of incident electron energy (50KeV-10MeV), by adopting the equations used in
