Cyclic Olefin Copolymers as Versatile Materials for Advanced Engineering Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Cyclic olefin copolymers (COCs) are presented as highly versatile materials combining tunable synthesis, excellent optical properties, and mechanical robustness. Their potential spans microfluidics, bioengineering, and advanced electronics, while emerging self‐healing and sustainable solutions highlight future opportunities.

Voxel selection in fMRI data analysis based on sparse representation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Multivariate pattern analysis approaches toward detection of brain regions from fMRI data have been gaining attention recently. In this study, we introduce an iterative sparse-representation-based algorithm for detection of voxels in functional MRI (fMRI)

Dynamic Proton Activity Regulation via Brønsted Bases Enables Durable and High‐Energy‐Density Zn||MnO2 Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Our study demonstrates Brønsted base‐mediated proton transfer for HOAc dissociation regulation in weakly acidic electrolytes, where imidazole achieves optimal dynamic proton equilibrium‐simultaneously stabilizing Zn anodes and enabling efficient Mn2+/MnO2 conversion.

Spinodal Decomposition of Atomic Nuclei [PDF]

open access: yes, 1996
During the multifragmentation of atomic nuclei it seems that identical (or almost identical) initial conditions are leading to very different partitions of the system in interaction. In such a case it is necessary to develop approaches that are able to describe the observed diversity of the final channels. On the other hand the multifragmentation being

Formation of Quasi‐Decoupling Interface on Li‐Metal Anodes in High Donor Electrolyte

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Li‐metal anode (LMA) is stabilized by introducing Li2Te2 as an electrolyte additive for Li‐metal batteries. Upon contact with Li, Li2Te2 spontaneously converts to Li2Te, which electronically isolates Li from dimethyl sulfoxide due to its large bandgap and minimal Bader charge transfer.

The Notebooks of Atomic Decomposition

open access: yes
Here is a comprehensive non-mechanical companion to the Brahim Framework, organized into two volumes that bridge fundamental algebra with empirical physical measurement. Volume A establishes the foundational logic, beginning with Axiom Zero and its two seed integers (3 and 4) which govern the golden recurrence and produce the Fibonacci, Lucas, and ...

On an atomic decomposition in Banach spaces

open access: yesSahand Communications in Mathematical Analysis, 2018
Summary: An atomic decomposition is considered in Banach space. A method for constructing an atomic decomposition of Banach space, starting with atomic decomposition of subspaces is presented. Some relations between them are established. The proposed method is used in the study of the frame properties of systems of eigenfunctions and associated ...

Solvent Co‐Intercalation Enabled Ca Storage in MoS2 for Ca‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Regulating electrolyte solvation levels enables otherwise non‐intercalatable Ca2+ ions to reversibly co‐intercalate into molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) as ether‐solvated species. The intercalation reversibility is strongly governed by solvent chain length, as demonstrated using diethylene glycol dimethyl ether (G2) and tetraethylene glycol dimethyl ether (

Atomic Decompositions Of Audio Signals

open access: yes, 1997
Signal modeling techniques ranging from basis expansions to parametric approaches have been applied to audio signal processing. Motivated by the fundamental limitations of basis expansions for representing arbitrary signal features and providing means ...
