A Decomposition Theory for Lattices without Chain Conditions [PDF]

open access: yes, 1961
In this thesis we are concerned with representing an element of a lattice as an irredundant meet of elements which are irreducible in the sense that they are not proper meets, and with certain arithmetical properties of these decompositions.

Residual‐Lithium‐to‐LiF Conversion Enables a LiF–Fluorinated Carbon Interphase for Reconstruction‐Resistant Ni‐Rich Cathodes

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A fluorine‐rich acrylate monomer (PFHEA) was solvent‐free applied to NCM90 and thermally decomposed under Ar to convert residual lithium into LiF and form a pre‐built LiF/fluorinated amorphous carbon (LiF/FC) interphase. The LiF/FC layer suppresses NiO rock‐salt reconstruction and microcrack propagation, lowers interfacial resistance, and improves Li ...

Dual‐Mode Magnetic Elastomer for On‐Demand Motion and Degradation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A dual‐mode magnetic elastomer is introduced, enabling DC field‐driven programmable actuation and AC field‐driven magnetothermal degradation. GHz‐range magnetic fields generate ultrafast heating of magnetic nanoparticles that activates cleavage of the silicone elastomer matrix.

Decompositions in doubling weighted Besov-Triebel-Lizorkin spaces and applications [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
In this work we deal with atomic and wavelet decompositions in weighted Besov-Triebel-Lizorkin spaces, where the weight functions are so-called doubling weights, which naturally extend the Muckenhoupt weights.

The atomic decomposition of H1 in product spaces

open access: yesAdvances in Mathematics, 1985
On the polydisk the atomic decomposition of a function in \(R^ 2_+\times R^ 2_ x\) leads to atoms supported in open sets which have further decomposition into functions supported on rectangles. The author shows how to replace the definition of atom for the polydisk while maintaining the atomic decomposition.

Interfacial Adsorption Engineering Enables a Highly Utilized Zinc Anode With 99.9% Coulombic Efficiency

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
When hydrated zinc ions are deposited onto Cu substrates at practical current densities, the modified Cu enables simultaneously compact zinc growth and suppressed hydrogen evolution. This regulatory effect originates from the superior adsorption of the modified Cu interface, which enhances zincophilicity and the hydrogen desorption barrier, thereby ...

Stochastic Atomic Decompositions in a Wavelet Dictionary

open access: yes, 1998
We consider random functions defined by atomic decompositions in a wavelet dictionary. The scale and dilation of the wavelet atoms are not dyadic constraints, but the function is modelled as a sum of wavelet functions at arbitrary positions and scales ...

Exploring Pb‐Chelation Chemistry in the Crystallization Dynamics of Halide Perovskites

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A mechanism of how Pb‐chelation chemistry governs coordination geometry and initial nucleation behavior at the precursor level of halide perovskite, by regulating the deprotonation state of a chelating additive, is elucidated. This allows for innovative reaction‐system design principles that promote coherent growth while suppressing defect formation in

Binder Engineering Suppresses Jahn–Teller‐Driven Mn Dissolution and Enables High‐Loading MnO2 Cathodes for Aqueous Zn‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A Zn2+‐coordinated poly(vinylidene fluoride) binder is shown to suppress Jahn–Teller‐driven Mn dissolution while improving dispersion, wettability, and structural integrity in thick MnO2 cathodes. This simple binder‐engineering strategy enables high‐loading aqueous Zn‐ion batteries with enhanced areal capacity, cycling stability, and practical promise ...
