Frequency Compensation of Three-Stage OTAs to Achieve Very Wide Capacitive Load Range

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2022
This paper proposes an optimal design approach for three-stage amplifiers driving an ultra-wide range of load capacitor. To this end, efficient state-of-the-art solutions have been combined to develop a power-efficient frequency compensation solution ...

Harmonic analysis and attenuation using LCL-filter in doubly fed induction generator based wind conversion system using real time simulation based OPAL-RT

open access: yesAlexandria Engineering Journal, 2022
The paper deals with the performance checking of an optimally designed LCL-filter connected along the grid-side converter (GSC) in a doubly fed induction generator (DFIG) based wind energy conversion system (WECS) in attenuating harmonics.

The Application of Adaptive Time Gain Compensation in an Improved Breast Ultrasound Tomography Algorithm

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2019
In order to better detect information about a mass in breast tissue, an ultrasound tomography algorithm based on adaptive time gain compensation (TGC) was designed.

Fluence compensation in raster-scan optoacoustic angiography

open access: yesPhotoacoustics, 2017
Modern optical imaging techniques demonstrate significant potential for high resolution in vivo angiography. Optoacoustic angiography benefits from higher imaging depth as compared to pure optical modalities.

A Study on Optimal Compensation Design for Meteorological Satellites in the Presence of Periodic Disturbance

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2018
Periodic disturbance may cause serious effects on the attitude of meteorological satellites, and the attenuation of periodic disturbance is required. In this paper, a fundamental study on the optimal design of constant compensations against known-law ...

A Novel Overlapped Compensation Structure and Its Effectiveness Verification for Expansion Joints in Plate-Type PMEDS Vehicles

open access: yesActuators
In the plate-type permanent magnet electrodynamic suspension (PMEDS) vehicle, expansion joints in discrete conductive plates trigger the eddy current truncation effect, thereby causing an attenuation in the levitation force.

An epithelial GPR35 isoform supports tumor‐associated transcriptional and metabolic phenotypes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
GPR35 generates two functionally distinct isoforms with previously unresolved roles. GPR35‐short mediates immune‐cell chemotaxis, while GPR35‐long is enriched in colorectal cancer epithelium, where it supports increased metabolism, proliferation, and tumor‐associated transcriptional programs.

Compensation of Ultrasound Attenuation in Photoacoustic Imaging [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Photoacoustic imaging is a non-destructive method to obtain information about the distribution of optically absorbing structures inside a semitransparent medium. It is based on thermoelastic generation of ultrasonic waves by the absorption of a short laser pulse inside the sample.

KDM7A and KDM1A inhibition suppresses tumour promoting pathways in prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Treatment resistance is a major challenge for patients with advanced prostate cancer. This study examined an alternative approach to target the major prostate cancer‐promoting pathway by targeting epigenetic factors, whose levels are higher in tumours.
