Lymphatic Abnormalities in Noonan Syndrome Extend Beyond Clinically Apparent Disease

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Medical Genetics Part A, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Lymphatic disease represents a well‐described manifestation of Noonan syndrome (NS), yet the full phenotypic spectrum remains incompletely characterized, especially in asymptomatic individuals. We conducted a cross‐sectional study including 10 individuals with NS (four with peripheral lymphedema and six without) and 10 age‐ and sex‐matched ...

Clinical Outcomes and Patient Experiences With Celiprolol Therapy in Vascular Ehlers–Danlos Syndrome: The First Non‐European Cohort

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Medical Genetics Part A, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Vascular Ehlers–Danlos syndrome (vEDS) is a hereditary connective tissue disorder caused by heterozygous pathogenic variants in COL3A1. European studies have shown that celiprolol may reduce the risk of life‐threatening vascular events, but outcomes in non‐European populations and the therapy's psychological impact remain unclear. We conducted

Musculoskeletal Phenotypes of 19 Patients With X‐Linked HNRNPH2‐Related Neurodevelopmental Disorder: A Prospective Case Series

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Medical Genetics Part A, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Detailed clinical phenotypes have been previously reported for 33 individuals with X‐linked HNRNPH2‐related neurodevelopmental disorder. Of these, 75% self‐reported a musculoskeletal abnormality, including hip dysplasia, scoliosis, kyphosis, lordosis, pes planus, arthritis, and missing spinous processes.

Prenatal Evaluation of RNU4‐2 Variants in Fetuses With Central Nervous System Anomalies

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Medical Genetics Part C: Seminars in Medical Genetics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Fetal central nervous system (CNS) anomalies are among the most common congenital malformations, yet the overall prenatal diagnostic yield of current genetic testing remains below 40%. Variants in RNU4‐2, a non‐coding gene encoding the U4 small nuclear RNA (snRNA), have recently been linked to a novel highly recurrent dominant ...

SCKF for MAV attitude estimation

2011 International Conference on Machine Learning and Cybernetics, 2011
In this paper, a novel quaternion-based attitude estimation algorithm with the square-root cubature Kalman filter (SCKF) is proposed to improve the attitude estimation performance for micro air vehicle (MAV). The SCKF is a kind of new effective method to solve nonlinear state estimation, it can directly deal with nonlinear systems, and the QR ...

Attitude estimation and control of a quadrocopter

2010 IEEE/RSJ International Conference on Intelligent Robots and Systems, 2010
The research interest in unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) has grown rapidly over the past decade. UAV applications range from purely scientific over civil to military. Technical advances in sensor and signal processing technologies enable the design of light weight and economic airborne platforms. This paper presents a complete mechatronic design process

Descriptor approach for attitude estimation

2015 IEEE Conference on Control Applications (CCA), 2015
In this paper, a new modeling and filtering approach for rigid body attitude estimation is investigated. In contrast to the current state-of-the art where the process model is driven by gyroscope measurements, we propose an alternative modeling formulation where the process model is fed by the magnetometer measurements.

Unscented Attitude Estimator Based on Dual Attitude Representations

IEEE Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurement, 2015
This paper investigates an unscented attitude estimator based on modified Rodriguez parameter (MRP) and quaternion using a linearized attitude representation transformation. When the singularity transformation conditions do not occur, the developed filter can benefit from the MRP representation in terms of decreased calculation burden and improved ...
