Drivers of female labour force participation in urban India during India's Economic Boom [PDF]
In the past twenty years, India's economy has grown at increasingly faster rates and now belongs to the fastest-growing economies in the world. One would think that in such economic conditions, women are increasingly being pulled into the labour force by

Suitable Method for Improving Friction Performance of Magnetic Wheels with Metal Yokes
A magnetic-wheeled robot is a type of robot that inspects large steel structures instead of humans, and it can run on a three-dimensional path by using wheels with built-in permanent magnets.

Soft Mechanical‐Electrical Logic Using Liquid Metal‐Filled 3D‐Printed Architectures
We present 3D‐printed soft mechanical–electrical logic elements that use liquid metal–filled silicone tubes actuated by thermoplastic polyurethane/polylactic acid (TPU/PLA) architectures to produce Boolean operations. Complementary normally open and normally closed unit cells perform repeatable binary transitions and can be combined into more complex ...

Swarm potential fields with internal agent states and collective behaviour [PDF]
Swarm robotics is a new and promising approach to the design and control of multi-agent robotic systems. In this paper we use a model for a system of self-propelled agents interacting via pairwise attractive and repulsive potentials.

Frequency modulation atomic force microscope observation of TiO_2(110) surfaces in water [PDF]
Rutile titanium dioxide (TiO_2) (110) surfaces were examined in water using a frequency modulation atomic force microscope. On the surfaces cleaned by Ar^+ sputtering and annealing in ultrahigh vacuum, step-terrace structure was observed.

Coarse‐grained (left) and atomistic (right) models of the shape memory polymer ESTANE ETE 75DT3 are shown schematically. The two representations bridge molecular detail and mesoscopic description. Both models capture shape memory behavior, linking segmental mobility and conformational relaxation of anisotropic chains to macroscopic recovery, and ...

Effect of Dielectric Constant on Interaction Between Charged Macroions in Asymmetric Electrolyte
The mean force between two highly like-charged macroions in the presence of monovalent counterions and added multivalent salt within solvents of varying dielectric constants was studied using Monte Carlo simulations.
