Simulation of Wear in Involute Micro Gear
In order to further study the microscopic wear mechanisms of micro gear,by using the classical Archard wear equation, combining with JKR(Johnson K L,Kendall K,Roberts A D) theory and GW(Greenwood and Williamson) rough surface model,a simulation model of ...

Oxide‐Free Titanium Coatings by Wire Arc Spraying in a Silane‐Doped Inert Atmosphere
A silane‐doped argon atmosphere enables the production of oxide‐free titanium coatings via twin‐wire arc spraying at ambient pressure. This innovative approach eliminates residual oxygen, creating process conditions that prevent oxidation and nitride formation.

Correlative force and tip-enhanced Raman microscopy
Tip-enhanced Raman scattering (TERS) microscopy attracts increasing attention for visualization and characterization of strain distribution on crystalline samples at a nanoscale due to nano-sized fields localized at a metal tip. However, as the metal tip

Tunable Casimir repulsion with three dimensional topological insulators
In this Letter, we show that switching between repulsive and attractive Casimir forces by means of external tunable parameters could be realized with two topological insulator plates.

Carbon‐free inert anodes are essential for decarbonizing aluminum electrolysis. This study investigates a recyclate‐based MgO‐316L steel composite anode tested under galvanostatic Hall–Héroult conditions in cryolite at 1000°C. Microstructural analysis reveals selective MgO fluorination, spinel and oxide layer formation, electrolyte infiltration, and ...

Dark Energy and Dark Matter from Emergent Gravity Picture
We suggest that dark energy and dark matter may be a cosmic uroboros of quantum gravity due to the coherent vacuum structure of spacetime. We apply the emergent gravity to a large N matrix model by considering the vacuum in the noncommutative (NC ...

Effective forces between colloids at interfaces induced by capillary wave-like fluctuations
We calculate the effective force mediated by thermally excited capillary waves between spherical or disklike colloids trapped at a fluid interface. This Casimir type interaction is shown to depend sensitively on the boundary conditions imposed at the ...
