Outsourcing Attributed-Based Ranked Searchable Encryption With Revocation for Cloud Storage

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
With the rapid growth of the cloud computing and strengthening of security requirements, encrypted cloud services are of importance and benefit. For the huge ciphertext data stored in the cloud, many secure searchable methods based on cryptography with ...

Degradation mechanism of the von Willebrand factor A2 domain by nattokinase

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Nattokinase, a natto‐derived protease, exhibits potent antithrombotic effects. This study demonstrates that nattokinase directly cleaves the von Willebrand factor (vWF) A2 domain in vitro. Unlike the native regulator ADAMTS13, nattokinase degrades folded vWF independently of shear stress.

Computational and Energy Costs of Cryptographic Algorithms on Handheld Devices [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Networks are evolving toward a ubiquitous model in which heterogeneous devices are interconnected. Cryptographic algorithms are required for developing security solutions that protect network activity. However, the computational and energy limitations

Multi-authority attribute-based identification scheme

open access: yesTongxin xuebao, 2021
Based on the problem that the existing attribute-based identification scheme is all based on one single authority, which has a key escrow problem, that is, the key generation center knows all users’ private keys, an multi-authority attribute-based ...

Auditable Anonymous Electronic Examination

open access: yesCryptography
Ensuring security in electronic examination systems represents a significant challenge, particularly when practical considerations dictate that most involved parties cannot be fully trusted due to self-interest.

Cell geometry and membrane protein crowding constrain Escherichia coli growth rate, overflow metabolism, respiration, and maintenance energy

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The physical dimensions and shape of bacterial cells define the surface area available to acquire nutrients and the volume available for synthesizing proteins and DNA. Here, we use computational systems biology to decode the importance of cell geometry as a major determinant of prokaryotic phenotype, including growth rate and metabolic efficiency. This

Modelling and simulation of a biometric identity-based cryptography [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Government information is a vital asset that must be kept in a trusted environment and efficiently managed by authorised parties. Even though e-Government provides a number of advantages, it also introduces a range of new security risks.

Three phosphatase families form a community: The phosphohydrolases that act upon inositol pyrophosphates

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Inositol pyrophosphates are energy‐rich signaling molecules that perform critical functions in cells. Three different families of phosphatases hydrolyze the β phosphate of the inositol pyrophosphate molecules: two have narrow specificities and one is promiscuous.
