Selecting Differentiated Costs between primary PCI and Thrombolytic Therapy using Hybrid of Genetic Algorithm and Decision Tree Approach

open access: yesبیمارستان, 2015
Background: Myocardial Infarction (MI) is the most common cause of death in developed and developing countries. Based on World Health Organization prediction, MI will be the leading cause of death in the world up to 2020.

Multi-criteria decision making with linguistic labels: a comparison of two methodologies applied to energy planning [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
This paper compares two multi-criteria decision making (MCDM) approaches based on linguistic label assessment. The first approach consists of a modified fuzzy TOPSIS methodology introduced by Kaya and Kahraman in 2011. The second approach, introduced by

From Common to Special: When Multi-Attribute Learning Meets Personalized Opinions

open access: yes, 2018
Visual attributes, which refer to human-labeled semantic annotations, have gained increasing popularity in a wide range of real world applications. Generally, the existing attribute learning methods fall into two categories: one focuses on learning user ...

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

Mining Complex Data Streams: Discretization, Attribute Selection and Classification

open access: yesJournal of Advances in Information Technology, 2013
Due to the large volume of data set as well as complex and dynamic properties of data instances, several data mining algorithms have been applied for mining complex data streams in the last decades.

A methionine‐lined active site governs carbocation stabilization and product specificity in a bacterial terpene synthase

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This study reveals a unique active site enriched in methionine residues and demonstrates that these residues play a critical role by stabilizing carbocation intermediates through novel sulfur–cation interactions. Structure‐guided mutagenesis further revealed variants with significantly altered product profiles, enhancing pseudopterosin formation. These

Feature selection using nearest attributes

open access: yes, 2012
Feature selection is an important problem in high-dimensional data analysis and classification. Conventional feature selection approaches focus on detecting the features based on a redundancy criterion using learning and feature searching schemes.

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

Linking neurogenesis, oligodendrogenesis, and myelination defects to neurodevelopmental disruption in primary mitochondrial disorders

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Mitochondrial remodeling shapes neural and glial lineage progression by matching metabolic supply with demand. Elevated OXPHOS supports differentiation and myelin formation, while myelin compaction lowers mitochondrial dependence, revealing mitochondria as key drivers of developmental energy adaptation.

Simultaneous Instance and Attribute Selection for Noise Filtering

open access: yesApplied Sciences
The existence of noise is inherent to most real data that are collected. Removing or reducing noise can help classification algorithms focus on relevant patterns, preventing them from being affected by irrelevant or incorrect information. This can result
