Using Probabilistic Attribute Aggregation for Increasing Trust in Attribute Assurance

2019 IEEE Symposium Series on Computational Intelligence (SSCI), 2019
Identity management is an essential cornerstone of securing online services. Service provisioning relies on correct and valid attributes of a digital identity. Therefore, the identity provider is a trusted third party with a specific trust requirement towards a verified attribute supply.

Changing US Attributes After CS-US Pairings Changes CS-Attribute-Assessments

Personality and Social Psychology Bulletin, 2016
Attribute Conditioning (AC) refers to people’s changed assessments of stimuli’s (CSs) attributes due to repeated pairing with stimuli (USs) possessing these attributes; for example, when an athletic person (US) is paired with a neutral person (CS), the neutral person is judged to be more athletic after the pairing. We hypothesize that this AC effect is

Workflow analysis using attributed metagraphs

Proceedings of the 34th Annual Hawaii International Conference on System Sciences, 2005
Graph theoretic methods for analyzing workflows and processes can provide insight into important problems in process design, and can help in the design of effective workflows. In particular, representation of workflows as metagraphs has been shown to provide a useful basis for formal analysis of processes and workflows.

Parental attributes and adolescent drug use

Journal of Adolescence, 1986
While many studies have examined the relationship of family and parent factors to adolescent drug use, few have had the opportunity to examine these longitudinally. Most measures of various family patterns, including discipline, conflict and rejection, have been concurrent with the adolescents' drug use and usually are reported by the youths themselves.

Using frame semantics in authorship attribution

2016 IEEE International Conference on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics (SMC), 2016
Authorship attribution is a stylometric technique that associates text to authors based on the type of writing styles. Researchers have looked for ways to analyze the context of these texts, in some cases with limited results. Most of the approaches view information at the syntactic and physical levels and tend to ignore information from the semantic ...

Color segmentation using perceptual attributes

Proceedings., 11th IAPR International Conference on Pattern Recognition. Vol. IV. Conference D: Architectures for Vision and Pattern Recognition,, 2003
A general approach for achieving color image segmentation using uniform-chromaticity-scale perceptual color attributes is proposed. At first chromatic and achromatic areas in a perceptual IHS color space are defined. Then the image is separated into chromatic and achromatic regions according to the region locations in the color space.

Sotware modularization using requirements attributes

Proceedings of the 42nd annual Southeast regional conference, 2004
Due to the increasing complexity of today's software applications, design methodologies are of great concern to the software community. The design phase of the software lifecycle is a major factor to the success of a software system. Some studies have shown that the majority of errors detected during the testing phase are related to design.

Counting polyominoes using attribute grammars

1990
In this paper, we are interested in counting some combinatorial objects in ℕ×ℕ that are polyominoes. More precisely, we want some information about their generating function according to the following parameters perimeter and area. Coding with algebraic languages and defining some semantics of these languages with attribute grammars, we can give a non ...

Character recognition using attributed grammar

Proceedings CVPR '88: The Computer Society Conference on Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition, 2003
The authors describe a character recognition algorithm for Korean characters that uses attribute-dependent regular programmed grammar (ADRPG). Each Korean character has more strokes than an English character. and the recognition of Korean characters is heavily dependent on the attributes of strokes.
