Isolated facial pain as the sole presentation of a type I branchial cleft cyst in an adult male

First branchial cleft cysts (FBCCs) are rare developmental anomalies that typically present in childhood. We report a unique case of a Type I FBCC in a 43-year-old male whose only symptom was isolated facial pain without infection or mass.

Involvement of the Ipsilateral Tongue, an Intraoral Structure of Referred Pain due to Entrapment of the Greater Occipital Nerve

Case Reports in Neurological Medicine
This study reports a rare case of referred pain in the trigeminal nerve distribution caused by entrapment of the greater occipital nerve (GON). Notably, the pain extended to the ipsilateral tongue, an unusual intraoral involvement.
