A 4-year-old healthy girl with acute visual loss in the right eye had ophthalmoscopic evidence of a swollen optic disc combined with central retinal artery and vein occlusion in the affected eye. MRI showed that the intraorbital optic nerve on the affected side was thickened and enhancing.

Isolated optic neuritis: an atypical manifestation of bartonellosis

Case presentation: A 49-year-old female experienced an acute onset reduction of visual acuity in her right eye, with a predominantly central scotoma, which progressively worsened over seven days, accompanied by pain on eye movement. She also reported daily chills and headaches over the past month.

Atypical presentation of MOGAD-associated optic neuritis with premacular haemorrhage

BMJ Case Reports
A man in his 30s presented with sudden vision loss in the right eye and diminished vision in the left eye accompanied by headache. Clinical findings included bilateral disc oedema, reduced visual acuity in both eyes (right eye>left eye), dense premacular haemorrhage in the right eye and impaired colour vision.

[Atypical forms of optic neuritis of multiple sclerosis].

The authors report seven cases of optic neuritis in patients with a diagnosis of multiple sclerosis. All patients had severe bilateral eye disease with no or incomplete recovery. Clinical signs and symptoms of multiples sclerosis were observed in only some patients.

42 metų moteris kreipėsi į oftalmologą dėl 30 dienų trunkančio dvejinimosi ir dėl 3 dienas trunkančio regos netekimo bei aferentinės vyzdžio reakcijos kairėje akyje. Regos aštrumas kaire akimi buvo 0 (šviesos juslės nebuvo), matymas dešine akimi, Farnsworth-Munsell atspalvių tyrimas ir akipločio tyrimas buvo nepakitę.

[Atypical optic neuritis in systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE)].
