IAR‐Net: Tabular Deep Learning Model for Interventionalist's Action Recognition

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
This study presents IAR‐Net, a deep‐learning framework for catheterization action recognition. To ensure optimality, this study quantifies interoperator similarities and differences using statistical tests, evaluates the distribution fidelity of synthetic data produced by six generative models, and benchmarks multiple deep‐learning models.

Review of Memristors for In‐Memory Computing and Spiking Neural Networks

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
Memristors uniquely enable energy‐efficient, brain‐inspired computing by acting as both memory and synaptic elements. This review highlights their physical mechanisms, integration in crossbar arrays, and role in spiking neural networks. Key challenges, including variability, relaxation, and stochastic switching, are discussed, alongside emerging ...

Multivariate Contrastive Predictive Coding with Sliding Windows for Disease Prediction from Electronic Health Records

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
Adaptive multi‐indicator contrastive predictive coding is introduced as a self‐supervised pretraining framework for multivariate EHR time series. An adaptive sliding‐window algorithm and 2D convolutional neural network encoder capture localized temporal patterns and global indicator dependencies, enabling label‐efficient disease prediction that ...

Bandwidth extension method based on nonlinear audio characteristics classification

open access: yesTongxin xuebao, 2013
A bandwidth extension method based on audio classification was proposed.Time series of audio signals were classified into four types based on recurrence plot and recurrence quantification analysis, and the fine spectrums were recovered by taking advantage

Open Loop Rate-Distortion Optimized Audio Coding [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
This paper addresses complexity reduced rate-distortion optimized audio coding under rate constraint. A technique where distor-tion minimizing coding templates, chosen from a set of templates, are jointly selected for a set of segments. This optimization

ControlIt: A Universal Framework for Translational, Adaptive, and Online Brain–Computer Interfaces

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
Brain–computer interfaces (BCIs) lack a unified platform that works across signals and algorithms. ControlIt, an open‐source, modular ROS2‐based BCI framework supporting electroencephalography (EEG), electrocorticography (ECoG), and spike‐based decoding across both classification and regression tasks is presented.

Evaluation of Audio Compression Artifacts

open access: yesActa Polytechnica, 2007
This paper deals with subjective evaluation of audio-coding systems. From this evaluation, it is found that, depending on the type of signal and the algorithm of the audio-coding system, different types of audible errors arise.

Structural problems without structural solutions? Youth leaders' perceptions of their community

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Community Psychology, EarlyView.
Abstract As young people explore and reflect on the conditions of their neighborhoods and communities, they can forge a critical consciousness—merging their perspectives and analysis to direct both individual and collective actions. Photovoice is a methodological tool that allows participants to document their perspectives and analysis and discuss with
