Novel bioactive glass-AuNP composites for biomedical applications
Materials Science and Engineering: C, 2017The bioactive glasses doped with gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) are very attractive materials due to their potential in medical applications. In the present study Pluronic-nanogold hybrid nanoparticles were introduced during the sol-gel route of the SiO2-CaO-P2O5 glasses preparation.

Abstract New heterostructures (tetrapods-like shape) were synthesized using AuNPs/CdSe hybrid nanocomposites in a facile synthetic route. The growth mechanism of such heterostructures was based on “Direct Heterogeneous Deposition” mechanism, in which the heterogeneous nucleation growth of CdSe arms (nanorods) structured at the nucleating sites on the

Graphene/AuNPs/chitosan nanocomposites film for glucose biosensing
Biosensors and Bioelectronics, 2010A novel glucose biosensor based on immobilization of glucose oxidase in thin films of chitosan containing nanocomposites of graphene and gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) at a gold electrode was developed. The resulting graphene/AuNPs/chitosan composites film exhibited good electrocatalytical activity toward H(2)O(2) and O(2).

Self‐Crosslinking AuNPs Composite Hydrogel Bolus for Radiophotothermal Therapy
Macromolecular Rapid CommunicationsAbstractRadiophotothermal therapy is a promising treatment for superficial tumors. Traditional radiotherapy requires tissue boluses on the patient's skin to increase therapeutic effectiveness due to the dose‐buildup effect of high‐energy radiation. However, combining radiotherapy with photothermal therapy leads to uncertainties as the low‐penetration ...
