Roles of Free Electrons and H2O2 in the Optical Breakdown-Induced Photochemical Reduction of Aqueous [AuCl4]- [PDF]
Free electrons and H2O2 formed in an optical breakdown plasma are found to directly control the kinetics of [AuCl4]− reduction to form Au nanoparticles (AuNPs) during femtosecond laser-assisted synthesis of AuNPs.

Gold nanoparticle (AuNP) decoration is a commonly used method to enhance the optical responses in many applications such as photocatalysis, biosensing, solar cells, etc. The morphology and structure of AuNPs are essential factors determining the functionality of the sample. However, tailoring the growth mechanism of AuNPs on an identical surface is not

Structural properties of AuNPs/PSi nanostructure
Nanostructure porous silicon (NPSi) was achieved by electrochemical etching. A p-type silicon of resistivity (0.1-0.02 Ω.cm) and n-type silicon of resistivity (1.5-4 Ω.cm) were immersed in 25% HF at etching time of 15 min and fixed current density 20mA/cm2 . Moreover. A gold nanoparticles were produced by laser ablation of energy (250, 350 and 450 mJ).
