An operando methodology combining synchrotron X‐ray micro‐computed tomography (SR‐µCT) and high‐energy X‐ray diffraction (HEXRD) investigates uranium dendrite electrodeposition in LiCl‐KCl‐UCl3 molten salt. This enabled in‐situ visualization of dendrite growth and ion diffusion dynamics.

This study demonstrates a breakthrough in overcoming the conventional fatigue limit ceiling in high‐strength as‐quenched martensitic steel; maximum stress corresponding to the fatigue limit significantly increased from 675 to 1300 MPa with minimal sacrifice in tensile strength (1.5–1.6 GPa).
