Summary The vesicle trafficking system enables multidirectional cargo fluxes between endomembrane compartments. However, vesicle trafficking plays dual roles during pathogen infections. In plants, it mediates autophagic immune responses but can also be hijacked by pathogens to facilitate successful infections.

Summary Coexpression of genes involved in carbon (C) and nitrogen (N) metabolism offers a promising avenue for improving crop yield. This study investigated the impact of coexpressing phosphoenolpyruvate carboxylase [ZmPEPC (P)], aspartate aminotransferase [GmAspAT (A)] and glutamine synthetase [NtGS (G)] in Brassica juncea to enhance plant yield ...

Treating date palm leaves with a bacterial consortium, especially when supplemented with glucose and urea, significantly degrades lignin. This process enhances nutritional value by increasing crude protein, digestibility, and metabolizable energy. The method effectively transforms this agricultural by‐product into a viable ruminant feed.

The Use of Artificial Intelligence for Auction Design
ABSTRACT This paper investigates the use of artificial intelligence—specifically, model‐free reinforcement learning—as a method to simulate bidding behavior in auctions. We survey six algorithms that are particularly suitable for learning and bidding in environments with large strategy sets and incomplete information such as auctions.

An Extension of Ausubel's Auction for Heterogeneous Discrete Goods [PDF]
ABSTRACTAusubel's dynamic private‐values auction for heterogeneous discrete goods, Ausubel (2006), yields an efficient equilibrium outcome but it is designed for a limited class of environments. If bidders’ values for bundles of goods are not integers, then Ausubel's auction may end without allocating goods if no information on bidders’ values is ...
