Multi‐Mode Mechanochromic Responses from Cholesteric Liquid Crystal Elastomer Tubes of Uniform Sheath

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, Volume 37, Issue 34, August 28, 2025.
The structural‐colored tube is created from cholesteric liquid crystal elastomers, exhibiting uniform color changes with high strain sensitivity upon extension and inflation. The color change occurs across multiple mechanochromic modes, highlighting the influence of molecular anisotropy and tubular geometry on strain sensitivity.

Hindlimb biomechanics of Lagosuchus talampayensis (Archosauria, Dinosauriformes), with comments on skeletal morphology

open access: yesJournal of Anatomy, Volume 246, Issue 6, Page 948-973, June 2025.
The study constructs a 3D whole‐body biomechanical model of the Late Triassic archosaurian reptile Lagosuchus talampayensis, which includes reconstructions of the hindlimb musculature. The process of constructing the model revealed that numerous limb bones curated with the main specimens are from other, as‐yet‐undetermined archosaurs.

Gamification of Pharmaceutical Process Engineering: Undergraduate Academic Training for the Purification of Biologics Using Head‐Mounted Virtual Reality

open access: yesComputer Applications in Engineering Education, Volume 33, Issue 3, May 2025.
ABSTRACT Virtual reality (VR) provides the opportunity to deepen learning and experience learning situations in higher education that were previously inaccessible. Knowledge from theoretical classroom lectures is connected to scenarios from industrial practice and is thus experienced, consolidated, and anchored. VR allows students to immerse themselves

Exploring the Impact of Multimodal Long Conversations in VR on Attitudes Toward Behavior Change, Memory Retention, and Cognitive Load

open access: yesComputer Animation and Virtual Worlds, Volume 36, Issue 3, May/June 2025.
This study investigates how multimodal design features like subtitles and visualizations affect user attention, perceptions, gaze behavior and motivation in virtual health conversations with Embodied Conversational Agents (ECAs). Conducted in immersive VR, participants interacted with a virtual health coach delivering guidance on healthy eating ...

4D Biofabrication of Magnetically Augmented Callus Assembloid Implants Enables Rapid Endochondral Ossification via Activation of Mechanosensitive Pathways

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 12, Issue 15, April 17, 2025.
Magnetically augmented biohybrid cartilaginous microtissues enable remote microtissue motion control and assembly as well as targeted differentiation. This study demonstrates accelerated endochondral ossification under magnetic stimulation, highlighting cartilaginous assembloid constructs’ ability to retain long‐term magnetic properties.

Transformations of Head Structures During the Larval Development of the Black Soldier Fly Hermetia illucens (Stratiomyidae, Diptera)

open access: yesJournal of Morphology, Volume 286, Issue 4, April 2025.
The black soldier fly (Hermetia illucens) has seven larval instars. Drain channels of the digestive system, metacephalic rods, and the cephalic musculature are described for the 1st time. Profound changes take place between the stages 6 and 7. ABSTRACT Larvae of the black soldier fly, Hermetia illucens, are currently intensively studied, owing to their

Autodesk Maya - Dinamična polja u računalnoj animaciji

open access: yesTehnički glasnik, 2014
This paper will explain how to use dynamic fields in Maya. Dynamics is a branch of physics that describes how objects move in space. Dynamic animation uses physical rules during simulation of natural forces. Using the dynamic options in Maya, we determine what actions and movements we want for object or particle to make and then let the software ...

Simulation of Contractile Heart Function in the Autodesk Maya Environment Based on Muscle Fiber Macro-Structure

open access: yesGraphiCon'2019 Proceedings. Volume 2, 2019
A dynamic simulation model of the contractile function of the heart is presented. The contractile function simulation is based on the modeling of the muscle fibers' structure according to the Atlas of human anatomy and the use of parameters of their geometric shape as parameters that control the contraction.
