Comparable clinical and functional outcomes between biological and synthetic grafts for medial patellofemoral ligament reconstruction: A systematic review and meta‐analysis

open access: yesJournal of Experimental Orthopaedics
Purpose The medial patellofemoral ligament (MPFL) is an essential static stabiliser of the patella. In patients with patellofemoral dislocations and MPFL damage, surgical intervention is often necessary to restore stability.

Arterial autografts in the rat

open access: yesJournal of British Surgery, 1971
Abstract It is shown that important histological changes occur in autografts in the rat aorta. These changes include the loss of endothelium and the degeneration of elastin. Such changes may be the result of ischaemia in the grafts caused by destruction of the vasa vasorum.

Bone healing and graft resorption of autograft, anorganic bovine bone and beta-tricalcium phosphate. A histologic and histomorphometric study in the mandibles of minipigs

open access: yes, 2006
OBJECTIVE: The purpose was to qualitatively and quantitatively compare the bone formation and graft resorption of two different bone substitutes used in both orthopedic and oral surgery, with autogenous bone as a positive control.

Range of Pulmonary Autograft Responses to Systemic Pressure Immediately After Ross Procedure. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
BACKGROUND: Pulmonary autograft dilatation after Ross operation often necessitates reoperation. To understand autograft remodeling, a biomechanical understanding of human autografts after exposure to systemic pressure is required. We previously developed
