3D Hollow MoS2 Architecture Enabled Highly Sensitive SERS Detection

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
A single‐layer MoS2 self‐assembled 3D nanostructure as a novel metal‐free SERS substrate enables effectively improved SERS performance both experimentally and theoretically. The EF and LOD of the substrate reaches 1.68 × 106 and 10−8 M, respectively. The distinct SERS properties are attributed to the enhanced charge transfer between the substrate and ...

Progress in Surface Plasmon and Other Resonance Biosensors for Biomedical Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
This is the shortened version: Recent advancements in surface plasmon resonance and other optical resonance biosensors for biomedical applications are presented. Advanced sensing strategies are examined for the detection of diverse analytes, integration of nanomaterials and machine learning, and emerging nonplasmonic modes like guided mode resonance ...

CCL20/CXCL5 Drives Crosstalk Between Anaplastic Thyroid Cancer Stem Cells and Tumor‐Associated Macrophages to Promote Tumor Progression

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study elucidates the crosstalk between tumor‐associated macrophages (TAMs) and anaplastic thyroid cancer stem cells (ATCSCs). The findings reveal that CCL20 from THP‐1‐M2 activates the IRAK‐1/NF‐κB1/2 pathway in ATCSCs, thereby enhancing CXCL5 secretion.

Characterization of gut microbiota dynamics in an Alzheimer’s disease mouse model through clade-specific marker-based analysis of shotgun metagenomic data

open access: yesBiology Direct
Alzheimer’s disease (AD) is a complex neurodegenerative disorder significantly impairing cognitive faculties, memory, and physical abilities. To characterize the modulation of the gut microbiota in an in vivo AD model, we performed shotgun metagenomics ...

Bilirubin Targeting WNK1 to Alleviate NLRP3‐Mediated Neuroinflammation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
At physiological concentrations, bilirubin binds to the kinase domain of WNK1, thereby augmenting its activity and facilitating the phosphorylation of downstream SPAK/OSR1. This phosphorylation inhibits KCC2 activity, leading to elevate intracellular chloride levels in neurons.

Transplant of microbiota from Crohn’s disease patients to germ-free mice results in colitis

open access: yesGut Microbes
Although the role of the intestinal microbiota in the pathogenesis of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is beyond debate, attempts to verify the causative role of IBD-associated dysbiosis have been limited to reports of promoting the disease in ...
