Chimeric Antigen Receptor T‐Cell Therapy: More Than an Anti‐Cancer Drug

open access: yesHLA, Volume 107, Issue 1, January 2026.
ABSTRACT Initially, chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T‐cell therapy was developed to eliminate malignant B cells in haematological B‐cell malignancies by targeting CD19 and B‐cell maturation antigen. This approach achieved notable success, resulting in (malignant) B‐cell depletion and inducing clinical remission in cancer patients.

Novel Magnetic Resonance Imaging Findings of Bilaterally Symmetrical Lesions in a Dog With Concomitant Granulomatous Meningoencephalitis and Necrotizing Encephalitis

open access: yesVeterinary Radiology &Ultrasound, Volume 67, Issue 1, January 2026.
ABSTRACT A 3‐year‐old, female neutered Bichon Frise was presented with a 2‐day history of behavioral changes and ataxia. The neurological examination was consistent with diffuse forebrain involvement, with left lateralization. An MRI study identified bilaterally symmetrical T2W/T2 fluid‐attenuated inversion recovery (T2‐FLAIR) hyperintense, T1W ...

Differential Expression of Human Endogenous Retroviruses‐W in Multiple Sclerosis and Epilepsy: A Comparative Study With Healthy Controls

open access: yesAdvances in Virology, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
Human endogenous retroviruses (HERVs) are the remnants of viral infections that occurred in our ancestors, subsequently integrated into the human genome. They make up about 8% of the human genome. Increased HERV expression occurs in physiological and pathological conditions, especially neurological diseases.

Neuroinvasive West Nile Virus Presenting as Subacute Progressive Quadriparesis and Intractable Pain: A Case Report

open access: yesCase Reports in Neurological Medicine, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
West Nile virus (WNV) is the most common mosquito‐borne infection in North America; while most cases are asymptomatic, fewer than 1% develop neuroinvasive disease with significant morbidity and mortality. We report a 57‐year‐old man from rural Wisconsin who presented with a 10‐week history of progressive asymmetric quadriparesis and severe intractable ...

Double Anti‐NMO and Anti‐MOG Positivity in a Patient With Metastatic Renal Carcinoma: First Reported Case

open access: yesCase Reports in Neurological Medicine, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
Background Neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (NMOSD) and myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein‐associated disease (MOGAD) are central nervous system (CNS) demyelinating disorders characterized by autoantibodies targeting aquaporin‐4 (AQP4) and MOG, respectively.
